ESPN will broadcast all 2010 World Cup games this summer live on ESPN Radio in addition to its
coverage on television, broadband and mobile phones.
Tommy Smyth has been named as the lead analyst for ESPN Radio and will probably do all of the
games as well as being in the stadium to broadcast the World Cup Final live.

Yesterday i was at soccernet.com and came across a Damian Hughes article on the psychology of
succeeding in team sports. The article is really about any organization that consist of a group of
people who need to be lead to achieve success. Its a great piece that attempts to understand why
England under one manager can suffer but under another thrive.

Just because a couple of thieves are busy robbing both teams blind while they play each other
doesn't mean they don't care about results. During the non-league Bristol Premier Combination match
between home side Brimsham Green and Oldland Abbotonians Reserves last Saturday, that's exactly
what happened.

If you're like me, you probably find that it's getting harder and harder to watch Premier League
games without being interrupted. And the interruptions are sometimes my own fault whether it's my
laptop and my inclination to open as many tabs as possible on my Chrome browser. Or my addiction to
Twitter, or the ability to watch more than one Premier League game at a time.

Like mineral water and volcanic rock it seems that all money in football must now be filtered
through agents. I don't want to attack agents; it happens often enough and in my opinion they
thrive because football needs them to exist. In order to go back to ‘the good old days' we would
first have to remove 24/7 television coverage, the internet, mobile phones and players' inability
to speak for themselves.

England boss reminds players of his rules via the medium of crashing metal covers Emile Heskey
reportedly found himself in Fabio Capello's bad books in the build-up to England's qualifier in
Ukraine after being caught texting under the dinner table. The Italian's rules dictate that no
mobile phones should be brought to group meal times.

This is one of the most hilarious goals of recent times, unless you're a Liverpool fan.
And, of course, by any standards of common sense it shouldn't have been a goal at all. (I just
tested this on my wife, incidentally, who is conversant with the rules of the game and considered
the awarding of the goal an outrage.

Things are not great in Argentina at the moment. The national team is, as you may have heard,
riding through tumultuous times at the hand of perhaps the only unfireable man in the country.
Fortunately they're masters of their own destiny this evening, so perhaps that will change.
Domestically it was a tough start to the [.

It's a fact of life: footballers, mobile phones and denim belong together. They're like
champagne and strawberries. Vodka and soda. Martinis and olives. Baileys and breakfast.
Is it drinking time yet?
Sorry, what were we on about? Oh yes, footy players and their favourite uniforms.

When I launched EPL Talk in 2005, my initial vision for the site was that it would be highly
interactive and would embrace technology to bring English football supporters closer together. The
main feature at that time was an online chat that would be hosted every weekend so that website
visitors could chat at the same time they were watching Premier League matches, no matter where
they lived in the world.

The next time someone in Canberra tells you we've a huge junior base with 20,000 kids/registrations
tell them they are dreaming, same goes for 260,000 registrations across NSW or the paltry 50,000 in
Victoria.
What we have is a lot of people playing independently in their own clubs, maximum community in
Canberra is Woden Valley 1800.

Cashley Cole's hatred for all things Arsenal can be seen in encounters. He gestures to fans and
is aggressive in the tackle with our players. He thinks that he is god's gift to Chelsea. In
fairness he does receive alot of vile and offensive abuse. The intimate use of mobile phones and
associations with homosexuals being some of the false accusations levelled at the player.

We're just weeks away from the start of the 2009-2010 Premier League season, and the excitement
and suspense is already building (Fulham today played the first friendly of the season involving an
English team down under today). But this upcoming football season will be unlike any other because
of the Twitter effect, the impact that the social media tool will have on the way we follow the
world's most popular sports league.

Ringtones are standard features on any mobile phone nowadays. They can be set to any jingle,
melody or song. Some mobile phones allow users to assign different ringtones to their contacts.
This feature allows them to recognise who is calling without even looking at the phone. Football
ringtones are some of the most frequently used by mobile-phone users due to their fantastic
tunes.

So you'd think that with more people in the world (isn't the world population increasing?) and new
avenues to watch football (cell phones, etc.), the audience for the 2010 World Cup would be the
highest ever.
Not so, according to a report from Reuters.
FIFA claimed an audience of 26.

As a child playing in the Youth Cup for Everton, Wayne Rooney showed a "once a blue, always a
