Many teams were in action throughout the country. The Mobile Mini Sun Cup concluded in Tucson, Arizona with the New England Revolution topping the Houston Dynamo in penalties.

The San Jose Earthquakes took on Real Salt Lake in Tucson, Arizona in the only MLS on MLS match of the day. Meanwhile, FC Dallas continued their preparation for the CONCACAF Champions League against a team from El Salvador.

Elsewhere, Minnesota United had a routine afternoon against a college side and the Seattle Sounders took on an NASL side.

Herculez Gomez just won an MLS Cup crown, and he is riding off into the sunset withit.

ESPN announced on Tuesday afternoon that Gomez has joined its team as a soccer analyst and has retired from professional soccer. The 34-year-old forward's decision to hang up his cleats in order to be in the studio for English and Spanish-language programscomes after he helped the Seattle Sounders win their first MLS Cup last month.
