Before the details, a note this is the broadest group I've seen enter the program in my 9 years
of watching and covering the program. With players from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Nevada,
Coach Brewer appears to have spread his web further than ever. I hope its the final step in getting
them to the MVC Championship, and NCAA Tourney, following the teams stumble in the MVC Tourney the
past two years.
Since national signing day was a week or so ago, I've gotten a few emails from people asking about
where certain Juniors players were heading for college. Instead of directing people to 5 different
places, I figured I'd post a list of players that have signed or at least have verbally committed.
So with all apologies to Alex and his former Juniors update, here's some commitments for you.

Seeking to address its defensive shortcomings, the Revolution turned its attention to the rear
by selecting Tyler Polak with the 22nd overall pick in the SuperDraft.
With the 15th pick in the MLS SuperDraft Seattle Sounders FC went with Creighton University's
Andrew Duran. Duran a versatile defender played at the Combine as a rightback, centerback and right
midfield. The senior player was rated as a top 10 defender by Maureci.
Duran is one of three Creighton players at the MLS Combine.
Eclipse Select Communications
CHICAGO -- Eclipse Select Soccer Club defender and Hinsdale South High School junior Jessica
Mutters announced her commitment to play for Creighton University's women's soccer program starting
in 2013.
The Darien, Ill., native's older sister Danielle played for Missouri Valley Conference rival
Illinois State, and her parents also attended ISU.
Ethan Finlay (Marshfield) earned one of the most prestigious awards from the National
Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The Creighton senior forward, a consensus All-American who was the leading scorer for the NCAA
College Cup semifinalist Blue Jays, was named the NSCAA men's Collegiate Scholar Athlete of the
Year.
Creighton mens soccer captured the MVC title, now aim for the bigger prize at NCAA

Omaha, NE The Missouri Valley Conference Championship game had the #1 and #2 seeds matched up
head to head for the automatic NCAA berth. There was lots to play for and it was evident with
some of the tough challenges and physical play on both sides.

The Creighton Blue Jays are joined by the Bradley Braves today in receiving NCAA bids. The 48
team field was announced at 3:30 pm today via NCAA.com and includes the two Missouri Valley teams.
Creighton received the overall #2 seed, behind North Carolina who won their Conference championship
on Sunday over Boston College, who enter the tournament as the fourth seed.
The St. John's Red Storm won their record ninth Big East title on Sunday as Jack Bennett
converted a turnover into a golden goal to give the Red Storm a 1-0 victory in the Big East
Championship Final at Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

The way things are shaking out for Creighton, it would appear that the Bluejays are well on their
way to a top seed in the NCAA men's soccer tournament.
After finishing the regular season as Missouri Valley Conference co-champions, the Bluejays, who
are a perfect 9-0 at home this season, are set to host the league's tournament this week.

There's still a week to go until the brackets for the 2011 NCAA Tournament are revealed but
several teams have already seen their postseason hopes extinguished.
Only four teams remain in the Big East Tournament as Connecticut, Louisville, St.
As the NCAA men's soccer regular season winds down, the game of musical chairs atop the NCAA RPI
rankings continues to go on.
Guided by Ethan Finlay and Tyler Polak, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Offensive and
Defensive Players of the Week, the Creighton Bluejays are out to a 15-2-0 record and have wrestled
the top spot away from Maryland, one of the two teams to have defeated Creighton this season.

The Creighton forward was named to the College Soccer News Preseason All-America team for the
second straight year.
Finlay was the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and a semifinalist for the Missouri
Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy last season, when he ranked seventh in the nation in goals (15) and
points (34).
Heading into the 2011 season, a Wisconsin native is the country's top-ranked senior men's
college soccer player.

Drew Fitzgerald, Missouri State Bears
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Missouri State women's soccer head coach Rob Brewer announced today the
addition of Drew Fitzgerald to his coaching staff for 2011. Fitzgerald was a volunteer assistant
coach with the team last fall and takes the place of former assistant Josh Ganson.
Sporting KC signed former New England Revolution defender Seth Sinovic Tuesday.
Sinovic grew up in Leawood and went to Rockhurt High School.
He played his college ball at Creighton where he was a two time First-Team All-Missouri Valley
Conference performer.
Sinovic started 18 games for the Revs last year and he is expected to add depth to a back line
that has given up four goals in the past two games.
Seven players from the Missouri Elite FC 92 team, coached by Lindsay Paulsell, have made
commitments to play college sports this fall. They join five former Elite 92 teammates who
graduated and went on to play college soccer in 2010.
McKenzi Payton, daughter of Forrest and Tracy Fay, will attend college and play soccer for
Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.
The Tennessee basketball program has moved on quickly after firing Bruce Pearl. Less than a week
later, Tennessee has hired Cuonzo Martin. Prior to taking the Tennessee head coaching gig, Cuonzo
Martin was the head coach at Missouri State. This year, Missouri State went 26-9 and Cuonzo Martin
was named the coach of the year in the Missouri Valley Conference.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Missouri State women's soccer head coach Rob Brewer announced today that he
has six commitments from players to join the program for the 2011 season.
"We have some very athletic players with unique skill sets joining our team this season," said
Brewer. "The diversity in their abilities and the balance of attackers and defenders make these
players fantastic additions to our program.

Dynamo Press Release
The Houston Dynamo selected goalkeeper Evan Newton and midfielder Sergio Castillo in the 2011
MLS Supplemental Draft this afternoon. Both players are expected to be invited to the Dynamo's
pre-season training camp in hopes of earning a roster spot.
Newton was selected with the seventh pick in the first round of Tuesday's draft.
