The Creighton Blue Jays are joined by the Bradley Braves today in receiving NCAA bids. The 48 team field was announced at 3:30 pm today via NCAA.com and includes the two Missouri Valley teams. The MIAA has announced that it will add men's soccer as a conference sport, effective with the 2012 fall season. Fort Hays State University, Lindenwood University, Northeastern State University, Southwest Baptist University and Truman State University will all field men's soccer teams in 2012.

Additionally the MIAA announced that is has extended invitations to Harding University, Southern Nazarene University and Upper Iowa University to begin the process to become Associate Members of the MIAA for the purpose of playing men's soccer in the MIAA.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Missouri State men's soccer head coach Jon Leamy announced today the hiring of Ger Coppinger as the team's new assistant coach. Coppinger takes over for David Stockton who accepted a similar position at Cal State Monterey Bay this spring.

UPDATE SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Due to weather concerns, the Missouri State women's soccer spring exhibition match against Missouri Southern scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The game will be made up next Tuesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. The game has also been moved to the Cooper Park, field 1 on Pythian Ave.

The men's programs at Missouri State and Drury have gotten together to host a series of Spring matches the next two weekends at their respective pitches.

This Saturday, April 2nd, the Missouri State Bears play host at Plaster Stadium.

Head Coach, Evan Palmer earned his 300th win tonight as the Nixa Eagles won 6-0 over the Parkview Vikings.

Coach Palmer, who played collegiately at Missouri State and is the only Coach the Eagles have had, began his career with Nixa in 1995 when the Boys program got it's start.

The Tennessee basketball program has moved on quickly after firing Bruce Pearl. Less than a week later, Tennessee has hired Cuonzo Martin. Prior to taking the Tennessee head coaching gig, Cuonzo Martin was the head coach at Missouri State. This year, Missouri State went 26-9 and Cuonzo Martin was named the coach of the year in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The two state-wide competitions have registration deadlines quickly approaching. Last year one Girls team (Missouri Elite FC U14 Girls) competed along with two Boys programs Springfield SC and Total Demize in State Cup. Will your team compete?

The alternate choice is the President's Cup which offers a lower tier of competition but the result is still an opportunity to move on to Regional competition and even a National tournament.
