Today is the 1 year anniversary of Inside Minnesota Soccer.

A year ago I was scrambling to get the site up and running before the Minnesota State High Schools soccer tournament. I think my vision of what I wanted IMS to be has changed slightly but overall the mission is the same.

Mays leads way as Metro batters Mines

DENVER — Senior Becca Mays scored three goals and freshman Annie Austin added two as the Metropolitan State College women's soccer team handed the Colorado School of Mines its first loss, a 6-1 thumping Saturday at the Auraria Fields in Denver. Mines entered the game with 4-0 record and was ranked 20th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Minnesota State gets revenge against Roadrunners

Freshman forward Brittany Henry and junior Laura Leber scored as the Minnesota State women's soccer team knocked off Metropolitan State College 2-1 on Friday in Denver.

The Mavericks avenged a 1-0 loss to Metro State that ended their season last year in the NCAA tournament.

Henry broke a scoreless tie in the 51st minute with an assist from senior Abby Maxson.
