Gaby Milito is finally back on the football field.
Milito played the first 45 minutes in Barcelona's friendly yesterday against FC Bolivar.
It's been a long road back for Milito. He's been sidelined for 569 days since injuring his right
knee in a Champions League game against Manchester United.
After the team's run of poor results lately, we're really looking to this match for a boost. Barca
leads the Liga with a single shaky point, and we can't afford anything less than a win if we are to
keep our first place position. But we have a feeling this match will be a turnaround point for the boys, and they'll go back to
their winning ways. Click to continue reading...
The highlight of this weekend's fixtures was the match at the Olimpico in Turin between
Juventus and Napoli. After numerous quality acquisitions over the Summer for Napoli, they hadÂ
been expecting a good start to the season. However, after a less than impressive start, Roberto
Donadoni was sacked and Walter Mazzarri brought in to try and settle the ship.
As reported in my last Serie A review, there were two big games this weekend with Milan
taking on Roma at the San Siro and Juventus taking on Fiorentina at the Olimpico. Milan needed
victory if Leonardo was to remain as manager for at least another week, while Juventus needed a win
to restart their title bid after failing to win in their previous three games.
Zlatan will miss Barca's first meeting with the Russian Champions.
Barcelona vs FK Rubin Kazan:
Tuesday's forecast a massacre for Rubin Kazan. The Russians showed resiliency and quality
against Internazionale but that was on their own turf. Barcelona is near unbeatable in their
impregnable fortress of Camp Nou.
Goal.com reported a story which featured in Daily Mirror about a possible exchange deal involving
Kompany and Robinho for Yaya Toure and Puyol. This definitely has to be a joke or an imagination of
some disturbed mind. Howelse you can explain the exchange of one of the best defensive midfielder
and defender for two players who are struggling to find a regular place in the Manchester City
side. Click to continue reading...
Stasera a San Siro sarà grande calcio.
Click to continue reading...
(All times - UK) Friday 2 October 19.30 Schalke 04 v Eintracht Frankfurt, Bundesliga, ESPN An intriguing one this. While Schalke lie fourth, they desperately need to improve matters at home
having lost five of their last six matches at the Veltins-Arena. United, meanwhile, are unbeaten on
their travels, picking up seven points from a possible nine so far this season. Click to continue reading...
A match against the Champions from Russia might be exactly what the doctor ordered for
Internazionale after some poor performances recently. Inter lost their first league game of the
season on Saturday against Sampdoria and the week before had put in a very unconvincing match
against Napoli in a 3-1 win.
Click to continue reading...
Ok, there are some serious good news - not like all the news till now was bad. But this one sounds
so good - Milito is back in training. There is no date set for his return but still it is good to
hear that we may be able to count on his service maybe in the latter part of the season. And that
is a very good news to the build up of the Racing clash. Click to continue reading...
FC Barcelona started their UEFA Champions League defense with a goal-less draw at San Siro. This is
never a bad result but with the chances we had we could have come out with three points with ease.
It was a clash of the best atatck in the world against one of the most organised defense in the
world. Click to continue reading...
Today is the second day of UEFA Champions League Matchday One and features the FC
Barcelona-Inter Milan showdown we've all been waiting for.
There are other matches today, seven others to be exact, but most eyes will be on the battle
between the defending Champions League title holders and the Serie A champions.
The heart and soul of FC Barcelona, captain Carles Puyol, who has been with the team since the
age of 17 has brought questions as to whether or not he will be signing a new contract with the
team.
The Spanish international and the rock in the Barcelona backfield is under contract until the
end of this season.
Victories against Georgia and Bulgaria have put the Italian national team in prime
position to win their group. With the Champions League and Europa League starting in the week,
Italy will be hoping for good performances from their sides.
The third week of the Serie AÂ arrived with Sampdoria surprise league leaders ahead of Juventus
and Genoa.
Are these players finished with the national team?
Maradona is on his way to Europe and according to the Argentine media, Maradona is going to meet
with many players that have been called up during the WC qualifying campaign to tell them that they
will not be called up for the remaining WC qualifers.
Diego Maradona's term as Argenita's coach ran into deep trouble after his side lost a vital home
encounter against arch-rivals Brazil. Brazil defeated Maradona's boy by a score of 3-1 in Rosario.
Argentina lies in fourth place at this moment, but Columbia and Ecuador lies just two points
behind. Click to continue reading...
Click to continue reading...
Inter recorded one of their best ever derby day wins today against rivals Milan today, as they
waltzed to a 4-0 victory. Most of the pre-match build up had been about how Milan could get
something, after their good opening day of the season, and Inter's dissapointing opening day draw
to Bari. But there was [. Click to continue reading...

Within days of the season's kick-off, the powers behind Italian football rubber stamped the
establishment of their version of the Premier League, effectively separating the top two divisions
from next season. The separation is hoped to stem the dwindling power of the League, an atrophy
highlighted this summer with the departure of two of its biggest stars, Kaka and Ibrahimovic, to
Spain. Click to continue reading...
The deal manager Pep Guardiola wanted most is finally complete after weeks of negotiation. 22
year old Ukrainian international and ex-Shakhtar Donetsk center back Dmytro Chygrynskiy will be
coming to the Camp Nou. Shakhtar Donetsk president Rinat Akhmetov agreed to the terms of the
transfer after Joan Laporta was determined to satisfy Guardiola's desire for a defender.
The title race will be solved by Inter or Juventus this season. Milan will have nothing to do
with it and seven days before the start of the season soccerpie gives you the comparison of three
biggest Italian clubs.
Inter – life without Ibrahimovic
Inter are certainly starting the new season as favourites for lo scudetto, however the
difference in the quality is not so big anymore, as Juventus are reinforced and much stronger.
Stasera, allo stadio Adriatico di Pescara sarà grande calcio. Infatti, Inter, Juve e Milan
Nonostante i tanti assenti (i giocatori appena
Click to continue reading...
Click to continue reading...
(Inter-Lazio 1-2.
Click to continue reading...
Mario Balotelli is a very good player but he is a real plonker most of the time. Balotelli
probably thinks he is the best player in the world and is puzzled as to why nobody
else can see it. Jose Mourinho refused to give him the number 10 jersey and Super Mario responded
by slacking at training sessions.
(Monaco-Inter 0-1.
Click to continue reading...
