manager Harry Redknapp and former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric of tax evasion.
Speaking on the steps of Southwark Crown Court, Redknapp said the case "should never have come
to court".

Redknapp and Sheffield Wednesday owner Milan Mandaric were acquitted of tax evasion charges
after being found not guilty of avoiding to pay taxes on payments made into an offshore account in
Monaco between 2002 and 2007, when both men were at Portsmouth.

Harry Redknapp's been found to be as clean as a whistle. The three week trial which took place
at Southwark crown courts came to an end as both Redknapp and his former Pompey boss, Milan
Mandaric were cleared of tax evasion charges with the prosecution building their case around the
Peter Crouch sale which involved two transfer amounts totaling £189,000.

At 11.30 am today, Twitter almost burst at the seams with journos declaring that Spurs boss
Harry Redknapp, along with his former Pompey boss Milan Mandaric, had been found not guilty on two
charges of tax evasion.
Interestingly, at the same time, England boss Fabio Capello was heading to The FA for a showdown
meeting following his remarks to the Italian media that, in the eyes of the Italian, John Terry was
still his captain.
Kenny Cooper opened his New York Red Bulls account on Tuesday, doing so against his former club in
the process.

transfers. This was in lieu of bonuses promised to Redknapp when he was at Portsmouth, as director
of football, and then manager.

court heard yesterday. Redknapp was said to have received "bungs or offshore bonuses" from former

actual charges in an actual courtroom rather than flimsy rumour and speculation.
