It definitely was an interesting week in Major League Soccer. Out of all the results this
weekend, all but one were a 2-0 scoreline. Because of that we went ahead and put all the goals into
one package for the goals of the week. The best in my opinion is still Eddie Gavin's goal.
Order: Chris Rolfe, Mike Banner, Steve Zakuani, Fredy Montero, Maykel Galindo, Eduardo
Lillingston, Chad Marshall, Eddie Gavin, Dwayne de Rosario, and O'Brien White
Random thoughts and ideas from the Colorado Rapids' shameful 3-2 loss against the Fire on Sunday
evening in Chicago.
OMAR'S FIRST GOAL: Two things went right on Omar Cummings' goal in the first
five minutes of the second half. First, Jamie Smith's shot was difficult enough that Chicago
goalkeeper Jon Busch couldn't handle it cleanly.
In the game of soccer, any team playing a match without seven - that's right seven - regular
starters doesn't stand much of a chance. So when the Fire, who has been bit by the injury bug in a
major way for the last month, got key contributions from a quartet of youngsters in their 2-0 road
win against the Kansas City Wizards on Sunday, they couldn't help but feel good about it.
