It was a perfect Saturday for the Marquette, UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee men's soccer teams, as all three teams opened their conference schedules with victories.

Each of the three games played out in different fashions, with a comeback, a dominating performance that didn't yield any goals until midway though the second half and a win over a perennial conference power that hadn't lost at home lately.

Last year Brøndby was eliminated from the Europa League in the most pathetic way, after being up, and then fucking it all up when it counted. Now, this bunch of useless idiots have done it again, and this time against an even worse opponent than last season, the unknown Austrian side SV Ried. Brøndby had lost the first match 2-0 in Austria, but midway through the second half they were 4-0 up, and

Walter White would understand it at least. He knows all about the the curse of wanting more, that however much you have, it's just never enough. Once again the calculations are really easy and I will just quote myself from the previous post:

So to get the calculations I am going to share with you I did some simple spreadsheet math.

Morning all,

midway through the week and it'd be a lie to say spirits weren't slightly lifted by last night's European action. Sp*rs took a 4-0 hammering at the Bernebeu. Normally this would be just classified under general amusement but given the week we've had you take any little lift where you can get it.

Laurent Koscielny should probably restated his earlier statements saying that the title race will only concern his team, Arsenal, and Manchester United especially after this weekend result where the Gunners throw away a 4-0 lead against Newcastle United.

Coming away from the match with a 4-4 draw against the Magpies doesn't only cost them a chance in catching United at the top, but the result also brings Manchester City closer again as the rich club convicingly won against their opponent on the same day.

Whoever thought Jose Mourinho could be shocked by arrogance? It seems that in Real Madrid general manager Jorge Valdano he has met his match as a potentially detrimental feud threatens to derail Real Madrid's pursuit of Barcelona.

When Mourinho took over at Real, he made it clear that he wanted greater control over the management of the team than the long list of ‘coaches' who had bowed to the whims of the board for more than a decade.
