In the first three rounds, Woods got better and better posting a 70, 69 and a 66.

their baseball franchise, the Boston Red Sox.
The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) chief executive Gordon Taylor has rejected Luis
Suarez's claim of innocence that the term he used against Patrice Evra is not racist in Uruguay as
the fallout following the Liverpool striker's ban continues.

As a sidebar to all of the hype surrounding the Euro2012 play off qualifiers this past week, I
noticed a great story emerging out of the Middle East which deserves more than a mention. Asian

It's Futbolita's 3-year birthday today and it has grown so much all thanks to

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre's suggestion that Premier League clubs should be allowed to
sell their own overseas TV rights – thus benefitting established clubs while leaving the little
guys to twist in the wind – will go down well in the Middle East.

Three South East Asian teams will be listening carefully to this Saturday's World Cup draw. Their
fate will be decided along with the other 17 remaining countries on the road to Brazil.
Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore will not be drawn against each other, that's for sure. Instead
they will face one from each of the following 'pots'.

If we ran a daily ridiculous rumor across the headlines, this would easily be it.
Can we all agree that if he were to retire right now, Pep would be considered among the all-time
greats? Not because he's there yet, but rather his body of work, even with the players at his
disposal, is so staggeringly glittering, we'd have no choice but to assume he'd be somewhere up
there at the end.

And he has an Arabic language pack installed. Dubai Sports Channel broadcast the Bundesliga in
the Middle East and North Africa and produced this ad to promote the new season. I have no clue

The second is from a Saudi fan from Al-Wihda club (that is a very old team, very modest now from
Makkah), reached the Saudi cup final but lost 0-5 in the final.
Liverpool shirt sponsors Standard Chartered are hoping the club signs up an Asian star to boost

Gavin Laws, head of corporate affairs at Standard Chartered, hailed the impact of Manchester
United's South Korean international Park Ji-sung in the region and believes signing a similar
talent would be an ideal way for the Reds to connect with the Asian market.
Could we add Moroccan temptresses to the list of people bringing down autocrats? This time it is

Newcastle United's Jonas Gutierrez says that he's happy at the club and targets 42 points as the

He might not have been a popular signing, but William Gallas looks to have won over a lot of his
critics and is set for a new contract. Gallas signed in the summer on a one year deal, with an
option for an extension once he had played a certain amount of games.
With Spurs' injury problems at the back, Gallas has featured more than anyone probably expected
and he has turned in some solid performances, most notably in our 3-2 away win at Arsenal.

The rumblings of a potential winter World Cup would give it an odd feel.
Bayern are going to Qatar, Hamburg are going to Dubai and St. Pauli are going ... erm ... nowhere.
