Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell must have feared the worse when he walked into the dressing room at
half-time during their game against Barnsley at Oakwell last Saturday.
His side was 2-0 down and staring down the barrel of an eight consecutive league defeat.
Incredibly, they hit five goals during the second half as they staged the most unlikely of
comebacks.
Wally Meets... Mike Walters interviews Cardiff boss Malky Mackay and learns that Genoa
cake is the key to Fergie's heart
Good breeding always shows, and Malky Mackay is a real chip off the old block. His father played
with Sir Alex Ferguson at Queen's Park, and now Cardiff manager Mackay has discovered the fastest
way to keep His Fergieness sweet: Look after his players on loan and serve him a slice of Genoa
cake when he drops in.

Over the last few days, the papers have been full of Michael Chopra and his revelations of
playing through injury in order to earn appearance money (to pay off gambling debts) and spending
£20,000 a day on the gee-gees.
Two weeks is a very long time in football. Being a die-hard Ipswich Town fan, I got the train to

Who's Looking Good?
Leicester: Having massively overhauled the squad during the summer, signing no
less than nine players, including the marquee signings of Kasper Schmeichel, David Nugent, Michael
Johnson, Neil Danns and Paul Konchesky should give the Foxes the quality needed to reach the
Premiership for the first time since 2002.

It's hardly the world's closest-guarded secret that Sunderland are in the market for a striker
or two this summer and it looks like the Black Cats are about to get the ball rolling with the £9
million capture of 18-year old Ipswich prodigy Connor Wickham yes, he of that goal against
Sheffield United.
It is back to the drawing board for Cardiff City following their second successive failure in
the Championship playoffs.
The Bluebirds' 3-0 aggregate defeat to Reading in last week's semi-final was a bitter pill to
swallow for the supporters, particularly with their side still well in with a shout of automatic
promotion just days before the season finale.
This season has seen unprecedented league success for my club Cardiff City. The Bluebirds
currently find themselves in fourth place of the Championship with a decent shot at promotion to
the Premier League. However, rather than feeling excited at the prospect of potential promotion,
this season has been one of the most frustrating and unenjoyable I can remember in my time as a
Cardiff City supporter.
QPR's 1-0 victory at Doncaster on Saturday left them nine points clear of second-placed Norwich
City and, notwithstanding any possible points deduction from the FA for the signing of Alejandro
Faurlin, poised to return to the top flight for the first time since 1996. Yet whilst Neil
Warnock's side have undoubtedly been the Championship's outstanding side all season the question of
who will join them in the Premier League next season is as unresolved as ever.
With a team that boasts the likes of Jay Bothroyd, Michael Chopra and Peter Whittingham many
would have thought that throwing last season's best Premiership player into the starting 11 would
see Cardiff City run away with the league. There's no doubt that on paper the Bluebirds are a
terrific outfit.
It's difficult to ignore Andy Carroll this season. Scoring with good regularity for Newcastle,
living with his captain, and every club in need of a striker appearing to be ready to pay upwards
of £20 million for his services. This season has seen him just as likely to make both the gossip
and sports sections of the newspaper.
