According to the Daily Mirror and Mail among others, Manchester City's Micah Richards has been
moved to delete his @officialMR2 Twitter account and asked police to investigate after receiving
torrents of racist abuse from a 'small but depressing minority of people' over the past few
months.

'The Hart Fart' appears to be a phenomenon that most Man City fans are aware of already, being
as though their official in-house television channel has already produced an in-depth analysis
package to accompany the video.
For the unenlightened, the clip is taken from City's 2011 blooper reel and sees Joe Hart letting
go of a little bum toot in the back of a taxi, with captain Vincent Kompany trying desperately to
keep a straight face in order to admonish young Joseph and his rogue sphincter, while Micah
Richards just explodes in fits of howling laughter.
Two women. Two crucial football matches. One widescreen TV. One slightly dodgy internet feed.

Liverpool set up a Carling Cup final against Cardiff after playing out a thrilling 2-2 draw with
Manchester City at Anfield to advance 3-2 on aggregate.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, City quickly drew level on aggregate thanks to a superb long-range
strike from defensive midfielder Nigel de Jong that flew into the top corner.
Roberto Mancini was left to bemoan a couple of refereeing calls that went against Manchester City
after seeing Liverpool go through to the Carling Cup final.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, City had a lot of work to do at Anfield and opened the scoring
thanks to Nigel de Jong's stunning strike from distance.
Craig Bellamy once again starred for Liverpool as they booked their place in the League Cup
final with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City. This resulted in Liverpool winning the semi-final
3-2 on aggregate.
Liverpool were the dominant team in the second leg of the semi-final and if it wasn't for the
heroics of Joe Hart Liverpool could quiet easily run away with the game.

Many are labelling this weekend's game as a grudge match with Spurs seeking revenge for the
beating they received at White Hart Lane earlier in the season. According to a recent poll by Sky
Sports, Spurs are also the favourites to win the league, no doubt partly due to the new-found
hatred that City has acquired.
I've seen some hand-wringing and questions as to how Liverpool were lined up yesterday, especially
in the second half.
I tried to explain the set-up and the reasons for it in yesterday's match review, but pictures
always make things easier. Not a 1000 words easier, but easier nonetheless.
Steven Gerrard gives Liverpool the edge at 13mins
Liverpool will go to the second leg of the Carling Cup Semi Final with a 1 goal advantage. A
penalty given away by Stefan Savic's foul on Daniel Agger, appearing to be slight accidental
contact, however there was no questioning the decision.

A week after falling 3-0 to Manchester City in the league, a Liverpool side without two of their
top players returned to face a City side missing three of their best for the first leg of the
League Cup semi-finals.
Here is some rather amusing news that is funny just as much as it is shocking.
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciesh Szczesny has apologized to team mate Aaron Ramsey for some offensive
remarks he posted to his twitter account saying that Ramsey looked like a rapist.
Szczensy who was only joking when made the comments, has however apologized saying that he
crossed the line.
The latest L'Uomo Vogue has Mario Balotelli featured on the cover and a candid and revealing
interview with the City star that doesn't quite give the lie to a grumpy, immature, prankster. Yes,
he did total his £100,000 Audi the next day, set off firecrackers in his bathroom causing major
damage, got into a training ground spat with Micah Richards, and earned Mancini's disapproval
smoking cigarettes.

1) What was your favourite moment of that pulsating Manchester derby, which saw City through into
the moral fourth round draw?
1. Well, that was piss easy, wasn't it? Hmm. What should have been a walk in the part for United
following the first half was worryingly more difficult than it needed to be, but we got the result
and that's all that matters. United have knocked our local rivals, our noisy neighbours, and
current holders, Manchester City, out of the FA Cup at their own ground.
Manchester City are weighing up a sensational £60 million move for unsettled Manchester United

Sunderland 1-0 Manchester City Premier League 1st January 2012
After seeing Manchester United and Chelsea both lose, and Tottenham drop two points at the
Liberty Stadium, the scene was set at the Stadium of Light for Manchester City's diamond-encrusted
side to move ahead in the race for the title.
Late goals were the order of the day in England, most notably at Sunderland where Ji Dong-won's
last-gasp winner earned the home side a surprise 1-0 victory over leaders Manchester City.
Roberto Mancini's side had aspirations of fully capitalising on Manchester United's loss to
Blackburn Rovers 24 hours earlier, to establish a three-point lead at the Premier League
summit.
Please forgive the lateness of the match report at I was out all day and didn't finish watching
the game until 1 a.m. Mountain Time.
It was a cold and brisk evening in the United Arab Emirates Manchester where Arsenal would line up
with JG's expected squad as mentioned in his preview.
In a pulsating affair at The Etihad Stadium today, Man City overpowered Arsenal and registered a
1-0 win to go back to the top of the English Premier League. A resurgent Arsenal side that had
forced their way back to the top 10 of the division following a horrific start to the season, were
simply not good enough to slow down a City side that was coming off a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last
Monday night.
1. At last, a Sky Sports Super Sunday match that lives up to its sub-heading billing. This really

"Ring the bell Apollo..." "Ding...ding"
One for fans of PR damage control now, with the news that Man City have circulated the photo
above of Micah Richards and Mario Balotelli playfully sparring in the City dressing rooms and
generally being 'all good' with each other to poke a wee bit of fun at Thursday's little bout of
training ground pugilism sparked, if rumours are to be believed, by a misplaced pass.
Mario Balotelli and Micah Richards settle their differences by donning boxing
gloves
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening. In the light blue corner, standing
five feet 10 inches tall, playing right back for Manchester City...it's "Mighty" Micah
Richards!
Mario hates poor passing The training ground scrap between Manchester City team-mates Mario
Balotelli and Micah Richards was started by a stray pass from the England international, Mirror
Football reports. Balotelli was unhappy at the accuracy of Richards' passing and told him: "If you
won't pass to my feet, I won't move.

Mario Balotelli and Micah Richards were anything but all smiles in Thursday's training
session.
The two Manchester City regulars were involved in a scuffle near the end of practice following a
heated exchange of words. Richards had to be held back by fellow teammates when he attempted to
continue the argument.
Mario Balotelli and Micah Richards have been involved in a training ground bust-up. The pair
squared up to each other at the end of a practice game ahead of Manchester City's match against
Arsenal on Sunday. The confrontation followed a war of words. Richards was particularly angry by
what had been said, the Guardian reports.
Having just suffered their first defeat in the league against Chelsea last Monday, another
important challenge must be faced by Manchester City this weekend as an in-form Arsenal are coming
to Etihad stadium.
Despite the difficulty of the upcoming match, City's manager, Roberto Mancini apparently isn't
worrying that much especially since they have a big boost with the potential return of Micah
Richards for this Sunday.
While Manchester City are in one of the toughest Champions League groups in recent memory, their
performances have shown that while money may be able to buy domestic success, European pedigree is
a priceless commodity.
Just ask Roman Abramovich. He and Jose Mourinho brought Premier League titles and FA Cups to
Stamford Bridge almost immediately after the Russian oligarch pumped many millions into the club,
but the Champions League title remains elusive to this day.

Highlights of Newcastle United's 1-3 defeat to Manchester City, who, somewhat predictably going on
their recent form, finally ended our long unbeaten Premiership run. After City goals from Mario
Balotelli (pen), Micah Richards and Sergio Aguero (pen), the Magpies finally managed a consolation
goal from Dan Gosling.

Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle United Premier League 19th November 2011
Two of their goals may well have come from the penalty spot, but nouveau riche Manchester City
were always in control of this top four clash against the surprise package of the 2011/12 season so
far, Newcastle United.
Premier League leader, Manchester City became the only unbeaten side in the competition this
weekend after they successfully ended Newcastle United, who before the match had a similar record,
at the City of Manchester with a 3-1 scoreline.
Although the score might be a bit convincing but it wasn't actually an easy match for Roberto
Mancini's side as they needed individual errors from Newastle's defenders to start their domination
on the pitch.
