Pumas UNAM is in solid position to capture its seventh league title after earning a hard-fought
1-1 draw in the first leg of the Mexican Clausura final against Morelia Thursday night.
Francisco Palencia gave Pumas the lead with 69th-minute strike with a blast from outside the
area to quite the home crow.

Just a month after the 2010-2011 CONCACAF Champions League final was held we can already look
forward to the 2011-2012 campaign. The CONCACAF Champions League draw was held on Wednesday as the
four MLS teams that have qualified learned their fate. For Major League Soccer, and for soccer in
the United States in general, the draw begins a quest for history.
Morelia and Pumas will play the first leg of the Mexican Clausura 2011 season tonight, with the
return leg scheduled for Mexico City on Sunday. It will be the end of an era as this is the last
