For the first time, the UEFA Champions League trophy will go on tour in the USA starting this
weekend in New York and continuing in three other US cities until mid-March. It's a chance to see
some famous figures associated with European football's top club competition such as Eusebio, Zico,
Edgar Davids, and the Laudrup brothers, check out memorabilia from previous matches and finals, and
view a documentary on the history of the Champions League.

By L.E. Eisenmenger - BOSTON, MA (Feb 2, 2010) USSoccerPlayers -- The National Soccer Hall of Fame
closed its doors last September, but Saturday, president Jonathan Ullman said an announcement about
the future of the Hall is "imminent," perhaps even within the next few days or weeks. The spacious

Here is some Port Authority FC memorabilia kindly donated by Dale from the Chonburi website. The
first two items are a match ticket and team sheet from Chonburi vs Port Authority (28/1/2006). The
match was Chonburi's first ever game in the TPL, but it was an unhappy day for the Sharks, as Port
won 3-1.

autograph team merchandise last night.
After one of the shopping centre's busiest-ever days, the LFC store was closed and a crowd of fans
snaked along Liverpool One's upper level.

I'm a little late on this, but I wanted to make sure I gave a shout to the efforts being made to
help Michelle Akers repair her horse rescue farm and save the animals in its charge after
devestating storms. Via the USWNT Blog:
Still, the storms left considerable damage -- more than $50,000 in fact -- as major
repairs to the barn and pastures are necessary to get the farm in working condition
again.

I believe that it is absolutely key for the Rowdies to do some grassroots, innovative marketing to
be successful. They have decided to resurrect the Rowdies' name and associate themselves with the
NASL team.
Take a look at what DC United of MLS is doing to promote their US Open Cup final showdown with
Seattle Sounders FC.

Tigres.

Fair enough the future is in our hands as they say, or perhaps it is in the Bosses – Wenger,
or the board with the kitty of cash to spend?
The best and worst times all roll into one when you are so passionate about something you love so
dearly – especially The Arsenal.
Some of the worst times are when your favourite player eventually retires (insert Bergkamp or
your own favourite retiree here) or leaves the club, or the fans favourite leaves – Henry,
Vieira, Pires, etc.

Background: Let me admit my bias right up front. Other than a slew of US MNT
greats, Carlos Valderrama is my favorite soccer player ever. How could he not be? I grew up in
Tampa when MLS was created, and he was the Mutiny's first (and only) superstar. Despite my bias,
I still think he belongs on this list, and I'll tell you why.

Background: Regardless of what you think of Landon Donovan (i.e. pouty &
overrated), he deserves his place on this list. He's probably the most prolific scorer in league
history, and when he is properly motivated he is basically unstoppable. No one knows if he will
play in the league much longer, but even if he doesn't, he's already in the HOF.

Background: Jaime Moreno is definitely a first ballot MLS Hall of Famer. The
Bolivian striker has it all: league titles, personal honors, and the most coveted record in MLS.
He's a crafty player who has relied on his soccer smarts to deceive defenders for over a decade
for DC United (and briefly for the MetroStars).
