FC Barcelona went back to the top of La Liga with a 3-0 victory at home against Racing Santander. Lionel Messi scored twice on the night and Xavi scored once to give Barca a comfortable victory. Great news came today from all places, Twitter!

Captain Carles Puyol announced via his personal Twitter page that he is finally returning to action following a three month hiatus due to a knee injury.

Puyol has been sidelined since May, missing out on the clubs entire summer tour and the first La Liga match of the season.

I am in Washington D.C. for the Barcelona v Manchester United match on Saturday. Tonight both teams had a practices that were open to the middle and fans.

It was really cool to watch Barcelona practice. Completely different exercises than what Man Utd went through. Carlos Puyol (looking a bit heavy) did not practice, but he did sign autographs for the fans.

Ok, this was supposed to be a walk in the aprk with a big scoreline. But it turned out in the end as a huge struggle. FC Barcelona looked completely out of focus and had to comeback from a goal down in this match against the bottom placed team in La Liga.
