Shit Shot Mungo: Series 2 Episode 13

Twohundredpercent 22 October @ 01:35 PM EST

Following their recent take-over by a Sudanese billionaire food additive magnate, Heart of Clackmanannshire is buzzing. However, Faisal Wally Camel has something of a maverick streak and, in this week's "Shit Shot Mungo", he decides that the "man in the street" could do better job than any of these so-called football "managers" and appoints, well, the first person that he comes up in the street.

The MLS Hall of Shame: David Beckham

Soccer Tickets Online 28 September @ 07:00 AM EST

Background: You knew I couldn't resist, didn't you? I have not hesitated to criticize MLS, Becks, the Gals, and Alexi Lalas in the past. The Beckham Experiment has failed. The hypothesis was gravely flawed. The fallout will be crushing. MLS always said they would be different than the NASL.

Zlat can’t be true!

OK Football Finder 30 July @ 01:00 AM EST

In a summer that has already seen Real Madrid spend close to £150 million on just two players and Manchester City offer crazy wages to the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz, it would be hard to believe things could get anymore ridiculous. But then this past weekend the summer spending hit another level on the silly richter scale as two of Europe's top clubs traded their top strikers.

Ahhhhh Saturday Morning!

JordanCornblog 03 January @ 07:38 AM EST
Have you been having trouble this week keeping track of what day it is?  I'm not complaining about the Thursday Holidays, mind you - but it's made for some serious disorientation.  Nice and quiet at work, though.  I've been digging through things I hadn't gotten to for months, and my in-box is down to just [. Wow!

JordanCornblog 27 October @ 07:17 AM EST
That's really it, just WOW! The Phillies' bats came alive in a real big way last night, as they blew the Rays out 10 to 2. Tonight's game five, still in Philadelphia, could be the end of the Series! It's great to see Ryan Howard producing the way we know he can. And how amazing was that [...] Click to continue reading...

Sorry Sox … and Straight Talk Express

JordanCornblog 20 October @ 07:48 AM EST
It was a good run, Red Sox ... but now it's up to the Phillies to take the devil out of those Rays, I guess.  A rested Philadelphia team meets the Rays in Florida for game 1 on Wednesday night.  Here's hoping for either a good, exciting, long Series or (my personal favorite) a four [...] Click to continue reading...

Trolling Through Tuesday

Check out Susan's comment on Alison's post yesterday (and Welcome, Alison - I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say here)!  Speaking of the Electoral College, I heard an interesting piece on NPR about the Electoral College - kinda scary how little people know about it! And speaking of scary, the McCainiacs are getting [. Click to continue reading...

McCain Unmasking Monday, Tech Tips, and Soccer Sundries

JordanCornblog 06 October @ 06:16 AM EST
The Time Finder posted information about some great computer shortcuts this morning - along with a link to the NY Times article by David Pogue.  Who knew, for example, that you can use Google like a calculator?  And here's a cool tip that I found in the "Comments" - A little less known one I enjoy [. Home Again and Back to Blogging, by Golly

JordanCornblog 05 October @ 06:12 AM EST
This morning I checked BlueHampshire and was pleased to see this piece about the level of desperation in the McSame camp. I groaned aloud last night when I heard Palin regurgitating that Bill Ayers story yet again.  Despicable and empty ploy ... but what I like about it is how it reflects the ongoing disarried and [. Sunday Sundries … Before the Great Migration

JordanCornblog 28 September @ 05:42 AM EST
I'm going to be migrating everything from my old computer to my new one in just a wee bit ... so am posting somewhat quickly now.  Hopefully you'll hear from me again. If not, you'll know that things went badly here ... A bailout agreement has apparently been reached. I read some excellent debate analysis [. Click to continue reading...
