The Serie A's Golden Bin nominations have been revealed and i am quite surprised to see who made
the list. Once again Juventus dominates the list with Felipe Melo ( who i thoroughly agree should
be on the list) and Milos Krasic making the cut.
Others who made the list include Luca Toni, Amauri, Diego Milito, Diego Forlan, Mauro Zarate,
Adrian Mutu, Santiago Silva of Fiorentina and Eduardo from Genoa.
After consecutive hard fought away victories in the Champions league that have left them topping
the group, midweek European encounters have proved to be a welcome break from Internazionale's
disastrous domestic campaign. A 2-1 defeat to bitter rivals Juventus last weekend means that the
Serpenti are flirting dangerously with the relegation zone and a massive eleven points from the top
of the.
To say that Inter's Champions League match Tuesday night against Ligue 1 champions Lille was a
"must win" would be a massive understatement. After a lackluster performance at the weekend that
resulted in a loss to Catania, the heat was on and cranked up to the maximum temperature. Yes, one
could argue the penalty given against Luca Castellazzi was a soft call and it should never have
been.

The Serie A season is finally underway and with it comes the hopes, expectations, and dreams for
all clubs in Italy's top flight. Everything seems a little brighter with the promises of what can
happen but when everything falls apart after the first match, that light is much dimmer than
before. Preseason only garnered more questions than answers in regards to Inter manager Gian Piero
Gasperini's.
According to Transfermarkt, Juventus was the big spender in this summers transfer market,
spending 85.7 million euros in total as the club completed full acquisitions on a number of players
including Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella, who will be joined by fresh faces Arturo Vidal,
Mirko Vucinic, Eljero Elia, Stephan Lichtsteiner and potentially the best deal, Andrea Pirlo, who
arrived from Milan on a free transfer.

Here's a few photos of Fenella the Kettle Witch (or 'Diego Forlan' as he's known outside Wheelie
World) giving it the 'big thumbs' during his unveiling bash at Inter Milan earlier this
morning.
Along with Mauro Zarate, the Forlanator moved to the Giuseppe Meazza on a two-year deal from
Atletico Madrid yesterday not a bad afternoon's business by anybody's standards.
On a day when many managers strive to negotiate the ideal transfer fee for their ideal targets,
there is often a realization that the ideal deal might not be struck after all.
Fortunately for these managers, not all is lost when they fail to agree a fee for someone they
really want to bring to their clubs.
Phew! It was that time again, and as per usual things were manic. We at In The Stands struggled to
keep up with all the kerfuffle and constant will-he-wont-he debacles. However, after much
journalistic endeavours, we have managed to finally pin down the most significant transfers on a
thoroughly exciting last day of the transfer window.
Liverpool have been linked to Lazio striker Mauro Zarate in the last few days, there is even a
rumor going around on twitter that we have had a bid accepted.
So we thought we would look at who our latest transfer target is.
Zarate is a 24yr old Argentinean who currently plays for Lazio.

Giuseppe Belnini/Getty Images(Bleacher Report)SS Lazio and Argentine forward Mauro Zarate has been
linked with a move to Arsenal since early January during last season. However, a move is yet to
have materialized.
Given the recent sale of Cesc Fabregas, it could prove that a real attempt to lure the player away
from Rome just might be in the works.

Morning to you, shall we start with some good news this morning?
It's not much, but it's something. Jack Wilshere's injury is not thought to be too bad and he
reckons he should only be out for a couple of days. This will then allow him to recover in time to
injure it properly playing for England next week in the round of senseless international friendlies
that take place.
Some of the names currently being linked with a move to White Hart Lane are beginning to suggest
an air of desperation and it's hard to believe that Mauro Zarate could possibly be the answer to
our goal scoring issues.
Reports suggest that the Argentinean could be available for around £14m and while his current
side Lazio aren't desperate to sell, Zarate has apparently fallen out of favour with the coaching
staff and may be prepared to move on for regular first team action.
Argentina striker Mauro Zarate wants to remain at Lazio next season.
Alexis Sanchez has somehow become one of the hottest names in the transfer market this summer, with
perhaps no club linked as strongly to the Udinese frontman than Barcelona. However, Sanchez's
transfer would be, at best, premature and at worse, a total disaster. Taking into account the
player's lack of Champions' League experience, enormous price-tag unbefitting of a player who has
done.
