Could you imagine Marvel Wynne or O'Brien White getting racially abused in the BMO parking lot by a
Toronto FC supporter? Not that I'm of the whole "there's no racism here, we live under Pierre
Trudeau's beautiful multicultural rainbow where nothing ever goes wrong" school of Canadian self
back-slappery, but let's just say if it happened, I suspect you would get headlines in every single
national daily, weeks of op-eds about how racism persists in Canada, and anti-racist tifos in the
south end that would make Dichio's tribute look like a bit of tissue paper.

How do you define a bad night? Your team, playing in Europe for the 286th time, getting beaten 4-1
at home by a team making their fifth European appearance. That's a bad night. It's not, as some
people have said today, a shameful night. Football does this sometimes. No matter how much it hurts
at the time, it's in the nature of the game.

site. It really brings it to life. Maurice Edu, Rangers and USMNT, revealed that he was subject of
some racial abuse from [.

Here's some unwanted news: Jay DeMerit blinded himself with a contact lens. Yep. That's right. A
contact lens.
From Soccernet:
The 29-year-old U.S. defender accidentally cut his eye a couple of weeks ago as he took the lens
out at the team hotel, and it has since become infected.

"Dude WTF? Mo Over There Wild'n." That is how our man FERENGI® put it in an email this afternoon
and it seems like a fairly accurate description. It seems that the former TFCer has quickly become
something of a Scots tabloid favorite despite seeing little of the field. Yes America, we truly
have arrived on the world stage.

Sorry this is a little late, but I think it's an important discussion to have...
We've all read plenty of articles praising the Nats for their improbably run to the Cup finals,
so we'll spare you the discussion of their "grit" and "heart." Â (Funny I was always led to believe
that Frankie Hejduk was our sole source of these invaluable commodities.

After helping Rangers win the SPL championship, it was great to see some American pride from our
boys over there. Here's a video:
Beasley and Edu
What were the groundsmen holding them back for? Perhaps they didn't want to get those nice suits
to get soaked with beer? Well done boys!

This week's seven matches averaged just under 13,800, slightly up from last year's week 10

In the last few years a great deal of ink has been spent in the American football press about
how young aspiring American soccer players must go to Academies and then skip college for MLS or a
trip to Europe in order to properly develop. I've never subscribed entirely to this view as
culturally our athletes tend to bloom at a later age, and playing college soccer in the US often
hardens character of players and the good work of the PDL and NPSL with amateur players give
footballers more than just the college season to develop their skills.
