West Ham are the latest club to be linked with a move for Crystal Palace's in-demand forward
Wilfried Zaha, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks.
The teenage forward caught the attention last season when he burst into the Palace first team and
this season has once again proved his quality with a string of impressive performances.

Brad Friedel made waves with his comments about Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey this week, but
its his team that has been making waves in the Premier League recently. Friedel and Tottenham
Hotspur have not lost in the Premiership since the second week of the season, but they'll have to
see off tricky Stoke City this weekend if they are to continue their run of good form.

Having been beaten by Kilmarnock in shocking fashion last week, Carlos Bocanegra, Maurice Edu
and Alejandro Bedoya enter their match against Dunfermline Athletic with one thing in mind:
Winning.
Rangers is still four points clear of Celtic for first place in the Scottish Premier League, but
the Blues need to bounce back from last weekend's defeat.
Two of the big dogs are still alive in the Carling Cup.
Manchester United and Arsenal each advanced to the quarterfinals of the Carling Cup, with the
Red Devils beating League Two upstart Aldershot Town, 3-0, and Arsenal came from behind to defeat
fellow top-flight side Bolton, 2-1.
A riveting weekend of international club soccer just came to an end, but Tuesday's slate of cup
and league matches provides a chance for some more fireworks.
Manchester United takes on upstart Aldershot Town (2:45 p.m., Fox Soccer Plus/FoxSoccer.tv) and

Three months into the season, Everton and Fulham are each just two points away from the
relegation zone, leaving Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey to attempt to help further their respective
club away from there this weekend.
Timmy Chandler and Nurnberg had their hands full with on-fire Borussia Moenchengladbach, and Edson
Buddle played the second half in a losing effort to Matt Taylor and Paderborn in the 2. Bundesliga.
Timothy Chandler and Nurnberg will be aiming for the top three and Edson Buddle will try to build
on last week's performance when Ingolstadt travel to take on Matt Taylor and Paderborn.
Steve Cherundolo and Timothy Chandler will square off when Hannover visits Nurnberg while Matt
Taylor and Paderborn will try to get back on the winning track when they host Furth.
Part 2 of my season preview sees me look at the chances of the mid tablers. If it pans out
anything like last season, these predictions could be all over the shop and separated by just 8
points come May. I'm on a hiding to nothing really ain't I hey?
We continue....

The Trotters disappointed me last season, I thought Owen Coyle really had something but the
longer the season went on, the worse they got.
Here is this week's Sporting KC Wizards update. Lots of European teams seasons are starting to kick
off. In other news, Eddie Johnson is still looking for a club, but he's in the news as part of a
domestic dispute with his wife. It appears his wife may have caught the former Wizard and Fulham
forward cheating on her.
A wild weekend of German Cup action saw David Yelldell give up a three-goal lead in his Leverkusen
debut and Matt Taylor net a trio of goals and assists for Paderborn.
The 2011/2012 Championship season gets underway this weekend and in what has become recognised
as possibly the most competitive division in football, it is Leicester City and West Ham United who
are the favourites to win the much coverted price of a place in the Premier League.
Traditionally the hardest league to be promoted from, the Championship has earned the reputation
of being uncompromising, erratic, unpredictable but always entertaining, where any team can win any
game.
Not only did we have Josh Gatt open his Molde account with a game winner today, but Matt Taylor
bagged a hat trick in Paderborn's 10-0 DfB Pokal stomp. For now, we make do with the Taylor reel,
his goals coming at 3:16 (talk about falling asleep from your own kickoff!), 5:20 and 6:56 (looks
like nap time in Ahlen).
The first round of the German Cup kicks off this weekend, giving David Yelldell his first start in
Leverkusen's goal and Matt Taylor a return to his former team Ahlen in his new Paderborn uniform.
I did not play with your heart, but I did miss a goal last weekend. My sincerest apologies go out
to Paderborn's Matt Taylor for this belated showing of his point-rescuing opening day strike. In
this case, I'm not... that... innocent.- Greg Seltzer
This week's former SKC Wizards update is here. Some other news this week, Ryan Smith has left his
trial with Real Zaragoza as the parties couldn't come to an agreement for the winger. Scoot Lorenz
has joined this list for the time being while on his loan with Minnesota. Speaking of loans, Ryan
Pore has departed Portland on loan, heading back to the NASL to play for the Montreal Impact.
Edson Buddle got the start for FC Ingolstadt 04 up front against Erzgebirge Aue on Saturday, but it
was Paderborn substitute Matt Taylor who grabbed Sunday's headlines against Dusseldorf.
Ricardo Clark could find himself in Eintracht Frankfurt's starting lineup for the team's home
opener while Matt Taylor and Paderborn will look to build on last week's victory as they host
Dusseldorf.
You've heard all the jokes already, but that won't stop me from making them. Ever since Sam
Allardyce took over at West Ham, it seems that he's been trying to recreate his glory days at
Bolton by snapping up his players from that era. It appears he's now trying to reunite with a
certain Matty Taylor for somewhere in the region of £1-£2.
Edson Buddle's late substitute appearance was not enough to prevent a season opening loss by
Ingolstadt while Matt Taylor and Paderborn posted a vital come-from-behind victory over Hansa
Rostock.
The German 2. Bundesliga gets underway, with Matt Taylor and Paderborn visiting newly-promoted
Hansa Rostock and Ricardo Clark and Eintracht Frankfurt looking to begin their promotion campaign
at Furth.
The first round of the 2011-12 German Cup has been drawn, setting up a reunion for Matt Taylor
against his former club and a tough visit for Luis Robles and Karlsruhe from fellow 2. Bundesliga
team Aachen.
With the longest active losing streak in the Premier League at three games, Bolton have the
potential to end their last five matches of the year with absolutely zero points to show for it.
Blackpool need the full three points from a big win in order to have any shout of staying in the
top flight for another year.
Another week of former SKC Wizards updates. First, I've found Igor Kostrov, he's playing back in
his native Moldova, for FC Tiraspol. Another former SKC Wizard will be switching teams in the
offseason, as Matt Taylor is moving back up to the German second division to play for SC Paderborn.
Finally, another former player looks to be calling it a career after this season as Byron
Carmichael will play his last season for Ocean City FC.

Following an impressive season with German 3. Liga team Rot Weiss Ahlen, Matt Taylor is returning
to the the 2. Bundesliga after signing a two-year contract with SC Paderborn.

Jimmy Conrad - Chivas USA - Did not dress in Chivas 2-1 win over San Jose.
It's rare that I sit here and don't quite know where to start the blog. I know there's a lot of
anger out there but this morning my overriding feeling is one of sadness at another season which
promised so much delivering nothing.
Sadness that a game we should have won was let slip. Sadness that when we needed someone to be
the hero nobody was there.
A day late as I got distracted watching the RSL-Monterrey game last night. So here is this week's
update a day late. Akeem Priestley is back on the map as he's now playing with the Los Angeles
Blues in the USL-Pro division. Also, Eddie Johnson looks like he could be on his way back to MLS.
His contract with Fulham expires this summer so Johnson could find himself coming back to MLS via
the allocation order.
Matt Taylor netted his 14th goal of the season for Ahlen, striking early in the second half to put
the team up by two as they cruised to an important win at home over Jahn Regensburg.
Matt Taylor and Ahlen are in desperate need of all three points on Wednesday evening when they host
Jahn Regensburg.
Matt Taylor went the distance on Wednesday night as ten-man Ahlen were demolished by Sandhausen to
edge closer to the relegation zone.
Matt Taylor and Ahlen will look to turn around their recent poor run of games on Wednesday night
when they visit fellow relegation strugglers SV Sandhausen.
Another week of former SKC Wizards updates, the MLS season has kicked off and this week there are
plenty of goals this week for former players as well. Enjoy this week's update.

Here's another Former SKC Wizards update for you this week. The MLS season kicked off last night,
which means that it's a new "season" for former SKC Wizards players. This year one player led most
of the categories. Yura Movsisyan had the most appearances (41), most starts (35), most minutes
(3,136), and goals (21) last season.
