AC Milan will be looking to put behind them their disastrous weekend outing when they host
Juventus at the San Siro tonight in the Coppa Italia first leg semi-final. With Juventus also
having settled for a similar barren draw with Siena in the weekend, the match will definitely be an
explosive one.
Interazionale sprung a big surprise on Sunday night to claim their biggest win of the season with a
1-0 victory in the Milan derby. Both teams entered the fixture in fine form (Milan were unbeaten in
12, Inter had won five in-a-row), but it was the Nerazzurri who prevailed after one of the season's
great stifling performances.
Max Allegri has announced his squad for his side's match against Lecce. Notable yet expected
exclusions include Gennaro Gattuso, Alexandre Pato, Mathieu Flamini and Thiago Silva who are all
suffering various injuries. Philippe Mexes has been selected but Allegri has suggest Mario Yepes
may start in his place alongside Alessandro Nesta.
After last night's draw with Udinese, Milan remain winless after three rounds played which makes it
official: this is the club's worst start to a season since 1997. Back then, the Rossoneri failed to
beat Piacenza in their opening game, only managing a draw. Then against Lazio they were denied by a
late Giuseppe Signori [.
The first half of this season will be crucial for Milan. The club has every intention of retaining
the Scudetto while an improved run in the Champions League is greatly desired too. To be successful
on both fronts, ensuring qualification to the knockout round in Europe needs to be achieved before
Christmas in addition to [.
A canter for Juergen Klopp and his foals
The Champions League group stage is set and Arsenal in Group F find themselves in the company of
L'OM, Olympiakos, and Borussia Dortmund. Not an easy group because we play a storied French side
that has turned things around, the Greek league champions, and the giant killing Bundesliga
champions.
I for one welcome the departure of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri. Full disclosure, Fabregas is
my favourite player at Arsenal and wear his no 4 jersey proudly to all the matches. You will find
fewer fans more bereft when he leaves. And yet, there is a sense of overwhelming relief when he
finally signs on the dotted line which brings this whole exhausting and none too edifying saga to
closure.
Anderson: Mr Inconsistent or Just Inconsistently Played? - originally posted on

Anderson. Inconsistency. Two words which seem to be glued to each other as much as Javier
Hernandez and goal. But when thought about from a different angle, offer an entirely different
meaning.
The greatest reason for the Samba star's inconsistency is due to the intense competition for a
place in the Manchester United midfield.
The best is yet to come from Milan in this year's transfer window. Well, at least this is the hope.
Last year the club made a very late double swoop for Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and both these
players were central figures in the club's first Scudetto triumph since 2004, especially the
latter. So far [.
Costa Rican teenage sensation Joel Campbell who caught the eye in the Copa America campaign is
set to join Arsenal for a sum of £900,000. The Ticos exited in the group stage but Campbell made
his mark scoring in a 2-0 win against Bolivia. They were outclassed 0-4 against Argentina with
Campbell again shining with his speed and dribbling skills.
It is no secret, Milan are in the market for a left sided midfielder. The club seem settled on Mark
van Bommel playing as the team's anchor man in the centre of midfield. Either Mathieu Flamini or
Gennaro Gattuso will play the supporting role on the right side. It is now just a question of [...]
It seems more and more likely for Arsenal to face another Mathieu Flamini "case" as midfielder
Samir Nasri confessed he is not sure that his future will be at Arsenal next season. Speaking to
TF1's Telefoot, ...
Yesterday it was announced that Massimo Ambrosini has signed on for another year at the San Siro.
The midfielder has been kept on at the club and it is expected that he will alternate with Mark van
Bommel as the team's defensive midfielder next season. This is a good decision by the club.
Admittedly, having [.

Tottenham vs AC Milan from White Hart Lane, London (Tottenham lead 1-0 on
agg.)
In what was a very dramatic first leg for not only the football that was played, but also the
handbags that took place at the end of the match, sets up a great platform for how this second leg
will turn out.
I was looking forward to an exciting Champions League tie between perennials AC Milan and
newcomers Tottenham Hotspur. The match did deliver excitement but was marred by the mindless
actions of both Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso and Mathieu Flamini. UEFA is already investigating
the incidents involving Gattuso and Tottenham coach Joe Jordan.
The Champions League is back! Outside South America, the most exciting club competition. Yesterday
the week's first two games took place! AC Milan hosted Tottenham Hotspur, an "eventful" game to say
the least! Milan's keeper Christian Abbiati suffered what appeared to be a concusion at 18 minute
mark and was taken to hospital for closer examination.
I know everyone's mind is on the The Game right now. Mine is too. But time is up to
it's usual tricks and is refusing to move along. I'm being tortured by this wait so I thought it
would be worth discussing Flamini's tackle on Corluka from Tuesday's borefest.
Here is a video of the incident.
MILAN, Italy - Peter Crouch's goal 10 minutes from time handed Tottenham Hotspur a 1-0 win over
below-par AC Milan in a bad-tempered Champions League last-16 first leg on Tuesday. Milan
midfielder Gennaro Gattuso, who will miss the second leg after a booking, is likely to face UEFA
repercussions after appearing to headbutt Spurs assistant [.
AC Milan coach Massimilano Allegri considers Tottenham Hotspur to be a real threat in the first
leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday despite the absence of injured wide man
Gareth Bale, so impressive when Spurs played Inter Milan in the group stages.
Massimiliano Allegri, Milan coach
It doesn't matter if Bale doesn't play because Tottenham have done well recently without
him.

Last night Milan played host to Lazio in a clash where the Rossoneri were eager to continue on in
their winning ways. It was an ill tempered match and one that from the start showed that only one
team was ready to play, and that was Milan. Lazio, on the other hand, were happy to [...]
