Sergio Ramos has just posted a picture of his new ink on Twitter and it's quite...well...let's
be kind and say 'distinctive'...
I'm all for being proud of your acheivements, but having your CV needled across your body is a
little much. What next?
Former French international and one of the games greats Zinedine Zidane is considering the
option of returning to the French national team as a coach. Zidane who retired from the side after
he infamously head butted Marco Materazzi during the 2006 world cup finals, made the statement
when questioned by Le Parisien.

"Horacio, Zidane le ha pegado un terrible cabezazo en el pecho a Materazzi... Cuando lo veas no
lo vas a poder entender". La voz del español Luis Medina Cantalejo irrumpió en el
intercomunicador del oído del árbitro argentino Horacio Elizondo.

In which every Liverpudlian's favourite Portuguese hipster midfielder, Raul Meireles, takes the
oppurtunity to show-off, amongst other assorted arm and neck ink, his vast dragony back tattoo
after Portugal's 5-0 friendly victory over Luxembourg in Faro last night.

In which part-time Inter defender and full-time coco-loon cake Marco Materazzi celebrates the
Nerazzurri's recent Coppa Italia final victory over Palermo in time-honoured fashion by filling a
bucket full of ice-cold water and then dumping it all over a pair of unsuspecting pitch-side
television reporters.
Following on from my end of the season thoughts, and given that posters and flyers all over NYC
are declaring Doomsday this Saturday, around 6pm, I thought I should sum up the best and worst of
the entire history of football, dating back to when I started watching and including only
games that I have seen.
As illustrated footballers go, Marco Materazzi's near the top of the heap somewhere. The man
just loves his ink, and increasingly so, it seems, as he grows closer and closer (one would think)
to leaving the pitch behind. Lots of standard, if cliched, stuff.
But I bet you didn't expect him to display a few pairs of Air Force Ones in the colors of
Perugia and Inter.
Tomorrow. 2:45 EST. One game that will play an absolutely massive role in deciding the scudetto.
Milan win and they're firmly in the driver's seat. Lose and Inter take over the top whilst Napoli
can join them, should they win against Lazio. A game to rule them all.
Here are, in no particular order and with no particular bias, three videos that illustrate the
entertainment that this derby has given us over the past few years.
*** Zinedine Zidane claims, in interview with sports daily L'Equip, that he backed Qatar's
2022 World Cup bid to help grow the sport in the Middle East. Zidane denied that his involvement
was purely for the money. In fact, he claimed to have received no personal benefit at all,
stating that the millions of Euros he received were distributed entirely to charities, such as the
Zinedine Zidane Tahitian Beach House Foundation, and the Zinedine Zidane Center for the
Furtherance of his Personal Automobile Collection.
