Alot has been made of Chelsea's season so far and it's been mainly doom and gloom from the media,
press and some of our supporters hasn't it!.
On a positive note, we have all witnessed the arrival of Juan Mata and he has really made a
fantastic impression for someone who is in his first season in England.
At last we hear that AVB has an angry side with his players aswell as the media!. Up till now we
have only seen his angered response to some lines of questioning during pre or post match press
conferences when speaking to the media or the written press. It seems as though he let the players
see the exact same side after defeat to United on Sunday.
Regular readers of my blog will know that I like to pick out a video on YouTube now and again to
showcase some of the work being done by fantastic people on there. In the last few days my Torres
post which had over 10,000 hits alone featured work put together on the video channel.
Here I present to you yet another one to have a watch.
Juan Mata has spoken ahead of the United game on Sunday. In the short time he has been here in
England, he has made an impact and has become an important player for Chelsea now and in the
future.
Speaking of the weekend, Mata reveals that the players aren't happy with the ways things are going
but are determined to put things right in every game starting with United.
Merry Christmas. Happy Boxing Day. Here are your gameweek 18 picks... I. Blackburn @ Liverpool: I
select this game as the 'game of the week,' not for it's on-the-field potential, but for the media
circus surrounding it off the pitch. ... Continue reading →
Short week. Injuries and rotations taking effect during this busy winter schedule. Fantasy managers
need 13-15 players fit and considered part of the "first team" to get through these next 10 days of
rotation and exhaustion. Here we go... I. ... Continue reading →
It's common knowledge that Chelsea offered ridiculous money to try and sign Luka Modric back in the
summer and Spurs stood firm and resisted our advances. You have to hold your hands up to them and
say fair play to them really. Levy backed his manager, stood by him and look how well they are
doing this season so far.
Everton are bringing back USA star Landon Donovan in January. Nic Anelka is going to China. And
Mario Balotelli is in a fight in training once again. Tons of news around the Premier League, but
as the fixture list gets ... Continue reading →
Juan Mata will be under the spotlight tonight as he takes on Spanish counterpart David Silva. Both
ex-teammates, will have the responsibility of creating and dictating the play for both sides
tonight and Mata is keen to point out that although we respect Manchester City and the start they
have made, we do not fear them.
The midweek Carling Cup fixtures are in the rear-view mirror and we're back to basics: The Premier
League. Let's jump right in. I. Chelsea @ Newcastle: After 13 league games played, Newcastle are
in the top four and Chelsea are not. ... Continue reading →
Juan Mata was the star of the show on Saturday against Wolves. Having a hand in our first and
second goals and scoring our third, Mata was instrumental in a fantastic first half
performance.
As you can imagine, after the game, Mata was asked about our previous run of results and the
effects it had on the players.
Following on from my earlier post stating that AVB needs to decide on our best eleven and stick
with them week in, week out for a while, I am posting this question about Juan Mata. It's a
question that is on our minds at the moment as I can't help but feel that we would get so much more
out of Juan Mata if he played inside.
Now the reason I am asking this question is to do with balance in our side. As we all know until
the Blackburn game the other week, we hadn't keep a clean sheet in the league since the opening day
of the season against Stoke.
It looks like AVB has addressed the situation by taking Jose Bosingwa out of the side and replacing
him with Alex and moving Ivanovic to right back.
With Drogba suspended – and his record of 13 goals in 14 matches against Arsenal today irrelevant
– Torres takes his place in the centre of the Blues' front three, looking to replicate some of
the form the aforementioned Ivorian is capable of. However, with Koscielny and Mertesacker looking
mightily strong in the middle of [.
Here we go, another great weekend of Premier League football is here. Throw your "Why Always Me?"
t-shirts to the side, and let's concentrate on Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, and the rest
of the weekend's fantasy prognostications. Let's ... Continue reading →
I am surprised that AVB has said that he believes the arrival of Juan Mata has had nothing to do
with the return to form of Fernando Torres. When he was asked about it he said the following:
"[It has] Nothing to do with it, in my opinion. We don't add in terms of nationalities
for every player, for people to get involved socially outside of the pitch.
The end of an international break. Love it. It's like the first day of school. Back to work.
Excitement. Anxiety. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions. Fantasy Premier League managers are back from
a 2-week layoff, and we're here to help you win ... Continue reading →
Josh McEachran whilst training with the England U21 squad last week showed a touch of genius that
was caught on the FATV's camera's.
We have all seen the Juan Mata video of his sublime piece of skill whilst training with Spain a
while back haven't we?. If you haven't here it is to remind you:
Impressive eh?
Juan Mata, away with Spain during the international break has taken time out to quickly speak of
his move to Chelsea and England. When asked to give his opinion on his move he said:
"This summer I took a major step in my career by signing for Chelsea and the truth is
that everything is going well.
Juan Mata took centre stage with AVB yesterday afternoon in the pre match press conference ahead of
tonight's mouth watering tie against Valencia in the Champions League. Just five weeks after
leaving Valencia to sign for Chelsea, Mata spoke of the game and his return:
He said:
"It is going to be a very special and emotional match for me playing so soon after
leaving Valencia.
Juan Mata was formerly introduced to the media yesterday at the training ground and guess what, one
of his comments was immediately pulled by The Sun and made into a dig a Fernando Torres with a
headline of "I'm not just here to help Torres" which isn't the way the comment was meant. It's part
and parcel of this media witch hunt that surrounds Torres and Chelsea ahead of our games.
Three Funny Feeling Fridays down, 35 to go. We're 3-for-3 this season in "calling it," as Andy

Juan Mata believes that AVB is the right man to lead Chelsea charge for silverware this season and
believes you will see us adopt the Porto style of modern attacking football.
I posted yesterday an article stating that Pat Nevin believed we would so the same and Mata has
more or less confirmed it.
I for one was astounded to hear about the ridiculous bids being made by Chelsea for Luka Modric. I
have said all along that I felt personally that as far as Luka Modric playing for Chelsea is
concerned, the jury is out.
It's all well and good being the main man, play maker for Spurs, but to come to Chelsea with the
midfielders we have here already and to dominate possession of the ball, to be the main man, its a
very different role here.
So can things get any worse? I spend a week in a hospital that doesn't have internet (not that I
could have used my fingers with all those tubes sticking out of me) and as soon as i get home I
find that Samir Nasri has earned Arsenal another £24m, while his supposed replacement, Juan [...]
Juan Mata was officially unveiled as a Chelsea player yesterday in a move believed to be around
£25m. A fantastic signing for the club. We all have had our say on him and what he can bring to
the team, but for now, he spoke about the reasons he signed for the club and what he believes he
can bring to Chelsea.
Frank Lampard hasn't exactly set the world alight with his two performances in the Premier League
this season and as a result I have seen people on here stating that he should be dropped to the
bench in place of Benayoun or McEachran.
I just want to point out one thing to the people that are starting to doubt Frank Lampard, people
that are jumping on the bandwagon that he is too old and passed it.
Juan Mata hasn't even officially signed for Chelsea until later today but he has already endeared
himself to Chelsea fans all over the world. Featured in The SUN this morning, Mata has revealed
that Chelsea wasn't the only Premier League club interested in him this summer but for him. He
said:
"I want to come to England to win trophies - and that's why I accepted Chelsea's
offer.
I posted on here the other day about Chelsea's interest in Juan Mata and added a video of him and
exactly what he could do and offer Chelsea. As you can imagine like all of you, I was delighted to
see that the club officially announced the agreement in place to sign him with Valencia. The deal
is reported to be around £23-24m.

Ignore Rudy and the Barca v. Madrid love-in. Check out that little nugget in the bottom left
corner of the cover. That's what we need to be concerned with.
Juan on Juan
While today's front of Marca focused on this small matter of a Spanish Super Cup,
rightfully so, there was some information on a potential bid from Chelsea for Valencia winger Juan
Mata.
Arsene Wenger has already moved to replace Cesc Fabregas with Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder
Jadson coming to Arsenal, according to reports. We are on the verge of losing Cesc to Barcelona in
a deal worth up to £36million, and it seems AW has wasted no time in trying to secure a
replacement.
There are hundreds of Arsenal transfer rumours around in the media, but I prefer to keep an eye on
the bookies to see who is being backed to join Arsenal in this transfer window than relying on half
made-up transfer news in the papers. Today I have noticed a very big move in the market [...]
Arsenal appear to have blown their chances of signing Juan Mata for a reasonable price after
Valencia coach Unai Emery said they would not sell their Spain starlet.
Last week the Gunners were in talks to sign the highly-rated young playmaker, who had a £22
million release clause in his contract that has since expired, meaning any club wanting him may now
have to pay significantly more.
The usual talk of Arsenal's youngster's coping with a "rainy Tuesday night in Stoke" could take on
a new dimension this coming season as it has been revealed this morning that Nicklas Bendtner's
agents have been talking to Tony Pulis abut a move to the Britannia stadium. The Mirror reckons
that Stoke are willing to [.
There ae more Arsenal transfer rumours around this evening and it seems that Sky Sports
"understands" that both Arsenal and Tottenham are chasing the Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton.
This is not the first time the Gunners have been linked with Barton, but this time around it seems
that Newcastle have decided that they want him [.
The last month of the transfer window begins with some surprising Arsenal transfer news. It has
already been confirmed that the Gunners have made an official opening bid for Everton's Phil
Jagielka, and his defensive partner at Goodison Park, Leighton Baines, is not surprised that Wenger
is keen on "Jagas".
Well would you believe it! According to reports everywhere, both Arsenal and Tottenham have agreed
transfer fees with Valencia for their talented midfielder Juan Mata, and although the players
father admitted that they were considering both offers, the player himself would prefer to move to
the Emirates.
When the season came to a close, Arsene stated that we needed a bit more strength and experience
in the squad, in particular in defence. The old sage has since enlightened us with the fact that
he will be busy this summer, this was then refined that most business will be done at the end of
July .
This is the roundup of todays Arsenal transfer news and it makes interesting reading as always. It
looks like the Fabregas saga is going to come to a head very soon after Pep Guardiola assured his
protege that he will do everything to get him to Barcelona, and the Mirror is reporting that Cesc
himself [.
