szólj hozzá: Inter - Novara 0-1 Caracciolo
Novara, at the very bottom of the Serie won yet again in a clean sweep of Inter with Andre
Caracciolo scoring a flamboyant winner. Massimo Moratti dismissed Gian Piero Gasperini after
Inter's 1-3 flame out against Novara in their first encounter.
Wesley Sneijder has been linked with Manchester United in the past few days, and not for the
first time. The Dutchman has continuously been linked with Manchester United for the best part of
two seasons but each time the move was apparently close to completion something cropped up an
prevented it from being finalized.
Inter's wheels are coming off. After such a strong push to within sniffing distance of Milan and
Juve, they have lost to lowly Lecce, drew Palermo and yesterday, Roma took the lumber to them. Juan
gets the Giallorossi on the board, Fabio Borini's lovely brace follows, and the Bojan Krkic
finishes emphatically to give Roma a thumping 4-0 victory.

As the January transfer window kicks into high gear, the name many football fans are most eager to
see on the move is Carlos Tevez. The now infamous saga between the Manchester City striker and
Roberto Mancini seems destined to end in days if not hours, with Italian Serie A to be the
Argentine's destination.

There is no denying that the Nerazzurri season thus far has been full of trials and tribulations,
with the critics out in full force tearing into the former European and reigning World Champions at
any given opportunity. Just last week, Inter were barely above the relegation zone, languishing
near the bottom of the table after a defeat at home to second place Udinese.
Internazionale targeting the Champion's League? Not at this rate. President Massimo Moratti
declared: "we have to end the season in the Champion's League places. That is an absolute must."
This is quite a statement for a team who are eight points below third place Milan and ten behind
leaders Juventus.
Internazionale take on Genoa tomorrow evening looking to gain a crucial win in their quest for
European qualification. The match has been rescheduled, after original tie was cancelled due to
severe flooding in the region and the tragic loss of several lives. Ranieri wanted to pay his
respects to those who lost their lives; he said: "I think a very important thing, more so than the
game, is that.

Denis Doyle/Getty Images(Bleacher Report) Today saw Luis Suarez's international teammate, Diego
Forlan, put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Inter Milan. His move from Atletico Madrid puts
him in position to try and fill the boots of Russia-bound Samuel Eto'o, who left the club just last
week for Anzhi Makhachkala.
Claudio Ranieri is the 4th Inter Milan's manager since the leaving of Josè Mourinho, just 16
months ago. The Portouguese manager left Inter Milan after the winning of Uefa Champions League on
May 2010. From that moment the dressing room of the Italian club has welcome Rafa Benitez, Leonardo
De Araujo and Gian Piero Gasperini.

Gian Piero Gasperini went winless in his five matches as Inter's manager
The nil-nil result between Inter and Roma at the weekend was one that sparked a debate over
which under-fire manager would go first, Luis Enrique or Gian Piero Gasperini.
STARTERSInter Milan has fired head coach Gian Piero Gasperini after just 5 games in charge. 1 loss in the
Italian Super Cup. 1 loss in the UEFA Champions League. 1 tie and 2 losses in Serie A. And no signs
that the team was going anywhere but down in each of those games. Its not Gasperini's fault at all.
The last gasp of the Gasperini
It took just five matches but Massimo Moratti decided he had had seen enough. Its Rolodex time
once again at the San Siro as Gian Piero Gasperini was given his marching orders after Inter lost
1-3 against newly promoted Novara.
Gasperini after the news of his sacking:
"In the end, the results are the ones that determine everything.
By Chris Wright
Word is filtering through that Gian Piero Gasperini has been sacked as Inter Milan coach the
morning after overseeing the Nerazzurri's dismal outing against newly-promoted minnows Norvara last
night -
The 3-1 defeat proved to be the straw that buggered the camel into submission, leaving Gasperini
with a pretty woeful record of one draw and four defeats in his first five competitive games.
One point. Zero wins. Three matches. Welcome to the start of Inter's 2011-12 Serie A season.
What should have been an easy win in celebration of Captain Javier Zanetti's record breaking night
in the Nerazzurri shirt, turned into an embarrassing night at the hands of Serie A newcomers,
Novara. Instead of commemorating the astounding 757 times ‘Pupi' has worn the black and blue to
place him as.
Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini's future at the club is in major doubt after his side were
soundly beaten by newly promoted Novara on Tuesday night. Goals by Riccardo Meggiorini and a brace
from Marco Rigoni proved decisive as little Novara tore into the 2010 European Champions at the
Stadio Comunale Silvio Piola.
So the new Serie A season is upon us once more. So far the typical clichés have proven to be
incorrect. The age old stereotype of Italian defences being impenetrable was shattered with 37
goals being scored in the opening weekend. Much focus was placed upon Gian Piero Gasperini's
favoured 3-4-3 system and how this would allow Internazionale to regain their Serie A crown, from
bitter city rivals.
Serie A Weekly welcomes guest writer Anthony Lopopolo to our pages with a view to the Saturday
showcase match between Internazionale and AS Roma at the San Siro in Milan. Left reeling from an
embarrassing week of losses in both Serie A and the Champions League, Inter will try to gather
their first points of the season against Roma at San Siro.
The Serie A season is finally underway and with it comes the hopes, expectations, and dreams for
all clubs in Italy's top flight. Everything seems a little brighter with the promises of what can
happen but when everything falls apart after the first match, that light is much dimmer than
before. Preseason only garnered more questions than answers in regards to Inter manager Gian Piero
Gasperini's.
According to Transfermarkt, Juventus was the big spender in this summers transfer market,
spending 85.7 million euros in total as the club completed full acquisitions on a number of players
including Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella, who will be joined by fresh faces Arturo Vidal,
Mirko Vucinic, Eljero Elia, Stephan Lichtsteiner and potentially the best deal, Andrea Pirlo, who
arrived from Milan on a free transfer.

Suleiman Kerimov: The vanguard of the Russian revolution
The Anzhi Makhachkala revolution continues as Samuel Eto'o is set to join the Russian Premier
side. His agent Claudio Vigorelli confirms that the two parties have reached an agreement on
personal terms and he expects Inter to follow suit.

Inter have been coach-less for little under a week since Leonardo's official departure from the
club last Friday (June 17, 2011). An outsider may look at Inter's recent coaching trend and make a
false assumption that the club has returned to the frequent coaching turnover of the late 1990s and
early 2000s.

With almost all storylines nearly wrapped up in Serie A with less than two weeks to go in the
season, the only thing left at this point are mere formalities. Inter came into Round 37 with
Champions League qualification neatly tucked away and only needed a point to secure a second place
finish. A good thing, too, as this past weekend saw a visit to the hostile Stadio San Paolo that

I wrote this back in February for a site which is no longer around. In light of the

dello Sport".
