Mike Leach has a new job. The former coach at Texas Tech who lost his job in controversial
fashion, has been hired as the next coach of the Washington State Cougars. Leach will reportedly
receive a lucrative five-year contract.
Leach coached at Texas Tech from 2000 until he was fired in 2009.

In men's college soccer this weekend there is yet another big match that pits two of the top
teams in the country against one another. A defensive powerhouse against an offensive juggernaut.
For those who are keeping tabs of course I am talking about Maryland and Creighton's match
tonight.

Conference play is heating up around the country but we still had a few big out of conference
games that were fun to take note this past weekend in college soccer. Below are a few of the bigger
results from a jam-packed weekend.

game in college soccer this weekend.

After a couple big weekend of college soccer where top schools faced off against one another,
this weekend cools off a bit at least in terms of a No 1 vs No 2 matchup. There are still plenty of
good match ups to discuss for the weekend ahead.

One thing I love about the start of the college soccer season is the amount of big time games
that are usually going on all over the place. The start of this new season is no different as there
are plenty of great games listed on the schedule this weekend.
Washington, D.C. (April 5, 2011) - D.C. United announced today that the club's
reserves will be taking part in truncated exhibition matches against local NCAA Division I
institutions, University of Maryland and University of Virginia on Sunday, April 10 on the
University of Maryland's campus in College Park, Md.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on... we won't get fooled again!

the Union grabbed Maryland star goalie Zac MacMath with the fifth pick in the 2011 SuperDraft.
