Despite Aston Villa's best efforts, it appears Robbie Keane will head back to the Los Angeles
Galaxy later this month -- just as scheduled.
The Villans had hoped to tack another week onto Keane's loan after the Ireland international
bagged three goals in his first four EPL appearances for the mid-table club.
Juventus took an important step towards reaching the Coppa Italia final as a returning Martin
Caceres scored a brace to ensure a 2-1 semi-final first leg win over Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe
Meazza. Antonio Conte made changes as noted in the pre-match press conference, with Marco Storari,
Caceres, Simone Padoin, Alessandro Del Piero and Marco Borriello all starting in the 3-5-2
formation.
serata meneghina.
Buon giovedi.... there's nothing quite like winning at the San
Siro if you're an Italian team, is there? Just ask Juventus, who weren't
even playing in front of their home fans in Turin and danced to a 2-1 victory last
night!
AC Milan will be looking to put behind them their disastrous weekend outing when they host
Juventus at the San Siro tonight in the Coppa Italia first leg semi-final. With Juventus also
having settled for a similar barren draw with Siena in the weekend, the match will definitely be an
explosive one.
Atalanta Guglielmo Stendardo joined Atalanta on loan from Lazio until the end of the season. The
30-year-old defender has spent most of past two seasons on the bench at the Rome club, and will be
delighted to get the chance to feature for the first team in Bergamo. (+ve) Another experienced
arrival is midfielder Alessandro Carrozza from Serie B outfit Varese.
After weeks of rumours and hand-wringing negotiations, Martin Caceres finally returns to Juventus
from Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season. Juventus will initially pay €1.5 million and
an additional €8 million in the summer to make the move permanent. The Uruguayan defender was
already once on the books for Juventus during the disastrous 2009-10 season on loan from Barcelona;
however, due.

Juventus will be at home for the first time in 2012 on Sunday when they welcome Cagliari to the
Juventus Stadium. Starting the New Year off with more of a whimper than a bang, Juve did manage to
take home the three points from Lecce even if it was a struggle. As Antonio Conte stated
afterwards, they will look to build from that match and improve their performance.
Levante extended its best ever start by beating 10-man Malaga 3-0 Sunday for a fifth straight
victory that kept it level with Barcelona atop the Spanish league.
In a matchup between the league's lowest payroll and biggest offseason spender, Levante
outplayed the revamped Malaga by taking advantage of the visitors' goalkeeping gaffs.
Transfer are always the talking point during pre-season (and for many, the lack of them).
Obviously we're all much more aware of what's been happening here in Albion and the big money
transfers, but around Europe teams have been snapping up bargains all over the show, so we have
compiled an eleven of players signed up in what may turn out to be inspired deals.

Everyone has their own opinion as to why the Copa America has been so peculiar this time around;
the dearth of goals in the early rounds, the number of penalty shoot outs needed to decide the
outcome of games, the inexplicable poor form of the big guns that saw them depart early in the
competition.
Put it away, Martin There were plenty of people tuning into last night's Copa America final hoping
to see some post-match nudity. Paraguay's defeat meant Larissa Riquelme didn't have to keep her
promise to strip on the pitch. Instead the viewing public had to make do with a nude Martin
Caceres. The Sevilla defender provided [.
The Copa America has produced some sterile matches but the quarter final between Uruguay and
Argentina proved to be an exciting match for spectators.
The fierce rivals were expected to play a tight game but eventual victory on penalties for
Uruguay came at the end of a pulsating affair.
Argentina is out of the 2011 Copa America after losing 5-4 on penalties to Uruguay following a
1-1 draw after 120 minutes.
Diego Perez's early goal was cancelled out by Gonzalo Higuain in an action-packed first half,
but despite chances from both ends, neither side could break the deadlock, ensuring a
nerve-wracking shootout to end proceedings.
Once again an Argentine squad packed with some of the best attacking talent in the world
underachieved falling to a Uruguayan side in the Copa America quarterfinals. After 120 minutes, the
teams battled to a 1-1 draw with both teams missing a number of chances.
Carlos Tevez, who's been the news for a strongly rumoured return to Corinthians could not put
away his PK as the baby faced Fernando Muslera saved his effort.

No wiff-waff, no spiel, just 10 superb 'overhead kick' goals to rival that of Wayne Rooney's
fantastic flying shinner against Man City t'other day...
In no particular order...
10. Ronaldinho Barcelona vs Villarreal, 2006:
Back when he were fab.
Sevilla, a very good club in its own right, will march up against the behemoths of Real Madrid
in the Copa del Rey semifinal on Wedneday. Tough ask. In order to put the fear of both God and red
body paint into their rivals, they whipped up this little viral in which they tell Mourinho "we
will leave you without the title" in Portuguese.
