Aufwärtstrend in Stuttgart?

Bundesliga Blog 06 November @ 03:40 PM EST

The Offside: Bundesliga 02 November @ 06:34 PM EST

The top of the league collectively dropped points, allowing Hoffenheim to close the gap but not much more. The bottom of the league collectively dropped points, allowing Hertha to keep dreaming about Bundesliga survival but not much more.

Bundesbag Week 11 and DFB Pokal 3rd Round: Stuttgart and Dortmund feel the magic

Some People are On The Pitch 29 October @ 12:14 PM EST
It is very likely that Stuttgart coach Markus Babbel may be out of the job after the forthcoming weekend. He received the dreaded vote of confidence after their 1-0 defeat to improving Hannover 96 last Saturday but the club's Sporting Director Horst Heldt made it clear that he was looking for a response against the 2 Bundesliga side Greuther Furth in the German Cup (DFB Pokal) on Tuesday. Babbel darf weitermachen

Bundesliga Blog 29 October @ 05:15 AM EST

The Body Language of an Upset.

The Offside 28 October @ 04:52 PM EST
There were three somewhat major cup exits yesterday. Three second division or lower sides which took their Cinderella moment and cashed it in: the much discussed Alcorcon thrashing of grand Real Madrid; Furth downing the apparently unfireable Markus Babbel and epic disappointers Stuttgart; and Borussia Dortmund gifting three goals and a win to Osnabruck, who [. Verzweiflung pur in Stuttgart – muss Babbel gehen?

Bundesliga Blog 24 October @ 11:24 AM EST

Group G Preview (Oct. 20)

Joga Bonito Mundo 20 October @ 11:23 AM EST

Rangers vs Unirea Urziceni

The two bottom feeders of group G are set to face off on Tuesday although I think it is unlikely either of them will go through to the next round. So, in essence, it is a fight for the Europa Cup spot.

Rangers have been in absolutely horrendous form of late and need a win to boost their confidence.

Bundesliga Matchday 9: Babbel Bobble

The Offside: Bundesliga 19 October @ 04:00 PM EST

Bayern were busy exercising control and dominance. Leverkusen were busy defending. Hamburg were busy passing the ball around. Creativity, inspiration and excitement were busy waiting for a date that would never show up. Not this weekend.

Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars. VfB Stuttgart will host Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday and then head off to Hannover for, what is now, a relegation six-pointer.

VfB Stuttgart: Hilft die Systemumstellung?

Bundesliga Blog 10 October @ 01:24 PM EST

Doktor Fussball 07 October @ 02:29 AM EST

Projekt Babbel gescheitert?

Bundesliga Blog 06 October @ 03:01 PM EST

Photo of Lehmann at beer festival gets him dropped

Arsenal Analysis 21 September @ 02:34 PM EST
By AriesBayern head coach Markus Babbel was very annoyed with Jens Lehmann after his team's 2-0 defeat by Cologne over the weekend. He decided to come out of his area, rush way out to tackle an opponent and of course was left with egg on his face when the ball ended in the back of an unguarded net! Reminds you of his mad rushes when he used to play for Arsenal doesn't it? Click to continue reading...

Local Player

Bundesliga Blog 10 September @ 04:21 AM EST

Bundesliga 2009/2010: What is New? What Stayed the Same?

The Offside: Bundesliga 02 September @ 08:31 PM EST

Sorry for letting this blog rot away in the late August sun for so many weeks. Other work took over and left some time but not much energy to spend on other things. But the team blogs have been bursting with energy all the more at the same time and a few more came back to life, so I guess there were still enough places on The Offside for Bundesliga related updates.

VfB Stuttgart: zwischen Rotation und Gerüchten

Bundesliga Blog 31 August @ 02:05 AM EST

Today's Banter: Bellamy quit Liverpool?, Wigan limping, Babbel eyes return, & more

Anfield Banter 28 September @ 08:26 AM EST
- This is interesting, according to Wigan midfielder Jason Koumas, Craig Bellamy quit us because of Rafa's rotation. Quit us? Who is Bellamy kidding? He barely had one foot in the door before most fans wanted him gone. The bottom line is, he just wasn't good enough for us. Too many offsides and not enough creativity. Room for Torres and Voronin were needed and Craig B had to go. Click to continue reading...
