Investitionen, die sich bezahlt gemacht haben

Bundesliga Blog 15 November @ 03:16 PM EST

Podolski: Ein Fehleinkauf?

Bundesliga Blog 09 November @ 07:50 AM EST

Bundesliga Blog 05 November @ 07:50 AM EST

Klinsi vindication: Van Gaal feels the pressure

Soccerblog 04 November @ 10:39 PM EST

" Mmmmmmm. Where is my Rolodex? "

With Franck Ribery out, Bayern has been struggling without his creativity. They lost to Bordeaux, 0-2 in the CL and are almost out of contention to make the round of sixteen.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern are in sixth place with 19 points after five wins, four draws, and two losses.

Best striker in the world?!?

Inthestands.co.uk - Football Banter For the Masses - Football Blog 03 November @ 10:48 AM EST

I don't know if anyone else reads World Soccer but I have a subscription to the magazine and in the most recent issue, they raised the point of the best striker in the world. I'll explain how they came to their conclusion in a moment but I was wondering what other people thought was required in a striker and who they feel is the best.

The Numbers Game: Matchday 11

The Offside: Bundesliga 02 November @ 09:51 AM EST

We keep it strictly binary this week.

0. The combined number of goals Bayern's strike duo Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni scored so far this season.

1. The number of goals former Bayern striker Lukas Podolski scored so far this season. Lukas Podolski joined Cologne in the summer, after Klose and Toni were continuously given the nod ahead of him.

Bayern aim to continue recovery

Premiership Talk Blog 30 October @ 07:00 AM EST

Media criticism, internal criticism, huge injury concerns, a long winless streak, and the list goes on. All the aforementioned obstacles severely marred the opening of the current season for German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. In September, such was the state of affairs at Allianz Arena that new manager Louis van Gaal appeared to be on his way out of the Bavarian club sooner rather than later.

German Security Firm Increases Your Confidence In South Africa 2010

WorldCupBlog 22 October @ 01:12 PM EST

All of days ago we were treated to a trailer of Fahrenheit 2010, the documentary which takes a look at the devious desires behind FIFA's insistence on a World Cup in South Africa. Not quite sure it'll have the clout to do any damage (read: bribes), but it shines more light on an already illuminated subject.

Sturmproblem bei Bayern

Bundesliga Blog 14 October @ 02:55 PM EST

Projekt Babbel gescheitert?

Bundesliga Blog 06 October @ 03:01 PM EST

Bundesliga Blog 24 September @ 01:00 PM EST

Gomez enjoys giving ear blood

Dirty Tackle 01 September @ 04:36 PM EST

Germany's Mario Gomez gladly lets an employee of the sports medicine university Saarbruecken take an ear blood sample. Perhaps a little too gladly...

And yes, the fact that you're looking at a picture of a grinning Mario Gomez give ear blood is definitely a clue as to how horribly boring today's transfer deadline was.

Bayern's nightmare: Felix Magath

Soccerblog 19 August @ 08:12 AM EST

Can this man exult any less?

Bayern Munich fully understands that its nemesis is Felix Magath who left the club disgraced two years ago. He came back to win the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg. Before the season was up, the protean Magath had signed a deal as Schalke's new coach.

Both clubs are on top of the Bundesliga while Bayern has managed two effete draws.

Mario Gomez was the one to level the score 73 minutes into the game with the assistance of Phillip Lahm.
