In 2010, we embarked on a new journey. Our league debut was nationally televised. Our home
opener drew nearly 35,000 fans. Then, while we waited for the opening of our new stadium we began
an extended string of away games that demonstrated what can only be described as the season-long
woeful state of our away form.

I don't know about you but I'm still amped from yesterday's unveiling of Faryd Mondragon and
Carlos Valdes. Sure, they were no surprise but, after a month or more of rumors, there is something
to knowing it is all finally official. If you were unable to see the players yourself at Fado, or
found that our updates from the event only whetted your appetite, you can watch the press
conference in its entirety here.
On Thursday, January 20, the Union will introduce two new players to Union supporters.
Who will they be? Faryd Mondragon? Carlos Valdes? Marek Mintal? Jorge Perlaza? (Our money is on
Mondragon and Valdes.) Editors note: the Union announced Thursday morning that they had agreed
to terms with Mondragon and Valdes.

I'm traveling down to Baltimore for today's SuperDraft so this news roundup may be a bit
thin since I'm writing it Wednesday night rather than Thursday morning. The first round of
the draft will be live on ESPN2 and ESPN3 with MLSSoccer.com providing coverage of the subsequent
