On August 12, we signed Haitian international left-back Lesley Fellinga, who had previously played

Finally, Toronto FC have found a way to eliminate a Puerto Rico Islander -terminate his contract.
TFC announced the release of defender Marco Velez after 38 appearances for the club. The enigmatic
29 year old was capable of the odd solid game but all too often was caught on the wrong end of a
defensive blunder.

This man will be looking to don a new jersey.
From the Toronto FC Front Office, the team announced Thursday that they have released defender
Marco Velez.
"We wish Marco all the best in the future but we needed to make some changes going forward into
the final stretch of the regular season.

To say I was frustrated after Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Puerto Rico Islanders in the CONCACAF
Champions League would be an understatement. We dominated them, and were by far the better team. In
the end though, that doesn't really matter. We still lost, and we have it all to do next week in

It's official: this past week has been the worst in our club's short history. In fact, any progress

For the second straight game, Chris Cummins and Nick Dasovic ran the sidelines for us. The sudden
resignation of John Carver was the talk of the team before this one - I didn't even get around to a
match preview.
The 4-3-3 worked again, as we beat the Kansas City Wizards for the second time this season.

According to ESPN, Toronto's Velez was given an additional fine and match ban for his conduct
during last week's game vs CD Chivas USA. In a move sure to rile Toronto FC supporters, Chivas's
Eskandarian only received a one match ban.
Here is an excerpt:
"The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee announced Thursday the supsension of Toronto
FC defender Marco Velez for one game and fined him $250 for endangering another player with a
deliberate blow to the head.
