Watching a game from within the GA, and particularly this game, sometimes you can miss how
dominant the Seattle Sounders were when they beat San Francisco FC of Panama in the CONCACAF
Champions League on Wednesday night. Though the two-leg tie required extra time, and the score was
only 2-nil, Seattle clearly dominated.
Seattle should be considered favorites to get to the group stage. San Francisco may feature a
midfield that includes former Panamanian national team stalwart Manuel Torres in the engine room
and current international Eybir Bonaga providing the creativity underneath burly former Colorado
Rapids target man Roberto Brown, but their defense is extremely young aside from Colombian Freddy
Arizala.
