United Linked With Benzema AGAIN!

Premiership Talk Blog 27 April @ 10:45 PM EST

Manchester United have again been linked with a move for Lyon striker Karim Benzema, after they were reportedly priced out of the market for the talented Frenchman last year. If the rumors are true it does put question marks over the future of some of United's strikers.

Carlos Tevez, who is one of United's most consistent players, looks to be heading for the exit door as his opportunities in the team have been limited since the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov.

Rounding up the weekend’s action

Footy/Soccer Blog 13 April @ 05:16 AM EST

To Anfield, where football was not the most important thing on the agenda for once. Paying respect to those who sadly lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster, 20 years ago this Wednesday, was at the forefront of everyone's mind. A minute‘s silence, impeccably observed. What followed was fitting; a comprehensive feast of flowing football saw Liverpool sweep Blackburn aside with ease.

Hull sign Manucho on loan

Manutd Blog 16 January @ 01:41 PM EST
Hull have secured a deal to sign Manucho on loan for the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old Angolan has only made on appearance for United in the Barclays Premier League. Personally I think United should cut him loose. Manucho is 25-years-old and has not shown he has what it takes. Danny Welbeck is only 18-years-old and [. Click to continue reading...

An Angolan at Hull? Yep!

Premiership Talk Blog 16 January @ 01:26 PM EST
When Manchester United signed Angolan striker Manucho last year, everyone was confused, anxious, and excited. Rumors were floating around saying that Manucho is a carbon copy of Didier Drogba, that he'd be the 4th striker Sir Alex Ferguson has been dreaming of, and that he would go down in United folklore. 01/16/2009: Taylor Dies A Little Inside

The Offside: Manchester United 16 January @ 09:15 AM EST

You know how they sang every time ________ happens, an angel gets its wings? Well today my car wouldn't start and it was nine degrees outside while I struggled to get it jumped. And that was when I knew that something terrible had happened. Indeed, such is the case. The official United website is reporting that Manucho has been loaned to Hull City for the duration of the season.

Manucho deal: Is Fergie going to sign another striker?

A Kick in the Grass 16 January @ 06:03 AM EST
Sometimes you wonder what is going on in the mind of the wizard, aka, Sir Alex Ferguson. On Wednesday, United limped to a narrow one-nil victory over Wigan, courtesy of an early Wayne Rooney goal, but the Reds' hero sustained a hamstring injury and was replaced by Carlos Tevez.
Rooney is out of action for up three weeks - to make matters a whole lot worse, the Argentine was injured too in the same game. Click to continue reading...

United 1 - QPR 0 Highlights

The Offside: Manchester United 12 November @ 08:44 AM EST

Not the most exciting game (due mostly to the absence of Manucho.... and that fact that it apparently was only broadcast in the Far East). Nevertheless, a win is a win, and I hope that this gives the youth brigade something to build on. As far as I can tell, the most noteworthy point of the game was that, as hard as Tevez was trying to score, Anderson seemed to be doing everything in his power to keep himself from hurting the back of the net.

PICTURES: Manucho In Training - Set To Play Tonight?

Republik Of Mancunia 17 September @ 04:30 AM EST
With Dimitar Berbatov unable to play against Villarreal tonight, there's every possibility that we'll get to see our first sighting of new signing Manucho, who joined the club last season. Fergie drops striker duo hint....

A Kick in the Grass 03 August @ 01:28 AM EST
Ole Gunnar's Solskjaer's testimonial took place on Saturday with United running out 1-0 winners courtesy of Fraizer Campbell's expertly taken second half winner. Espanyol were the visitors for what turned out to be a decent game to watch and it was fitting that the Norwegian legend lit up Old Trafford twice after coming on as a late second half substitute with two fabulous efforts on goal, his second was pure magic as he bamboozled two defenders the edge of the visitor's box before drilling a left foot curling effort only to be denied by a super save be 'keeper Alvarez Cristian. What Manchester United Were Missing vs Portsmouth

In what has so far been an FA Cup full of shocks, Manchester United were knocked out against Portsmouth on Saturday, losing 1-0 at Old Trafford. Shock Deadline Moves: Benjani, Guzan’s Work Permit status

Center Holds It 31 January @ 12:55 PM EST
Benjani to Manchester City (very close at least)! Portsmouth's best forward move has made Harry Redknapp's life a living hell now, unless he's got transfers lined up today. Benjani's exit, Utaka and Kanu at the ANC, and Dave Nugent out with an injury leaves Portsmouth rather thin at the forward line. Click to continue reading...
