LFC considers racism in any form to be unacceptable without compromise. It is our strong held belief, having gone over the facts of the case, that Luis Suarez did not commit any racist act. It is also our opinion that the accusation by this particular player was not credible certainly no more credible than his prior unfounded accusations.

Back in the 08-09 season, where Tevez was struglling for games due to Fergie's insistance on pairing Berbatov with Rooney, there was a lot of debate as to whether Tevez was worth the repoted £30 mil that his notoriously dodgy agent and part owner, Kia Joorabchian, was demanding for the Argentinian.

That was a game worthy of a final. I was worried it might turn into a tight encounter with both teams adopting a very cautious approach, Barca with the ball and United without it, but thankfully that didn't come to pass.

Ferguson's tactics were, in my opinion, the reason this tie was such an open encounter and also for it to be a completely one-sided final.

Before Manchester United FC visited Tottenham Hotspur FC this past weekend, the Spurs manager Harry Redknapp was eager to point out that his team now had players whom his counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson "would love at Old Trafford".
That may be the case with some individuals in a Tottenham side whose free-scoring form in UEFA Champions League Group A (18 goals) contrasted with United's own sparsity of goals in the competition before Christmas – their tally of seven constituting their third-lowest in 16 seasons of group-stage competition.
