Let's face it, yesterday's Manchester derby was awful. Yes, there were goals and a spirited
second-half fightback from City after an understandably poor first-half display.
But the game was ruined as a fair contest by Chris Foy and Wayne Rooney in the eleventh minute.
Anyone who knows the rules of football intimately will understand that Foy's decision to send off
City captain Vincent Kompany for his tackle on Nani was plainly wrong.
The final whistle is blown at the Etihad Stadium and it is safe and fair to say that Manchester
United fans the world over breathed a huge collective sigh of relief. Pre kickoff, we had the
shock...

Southampton The Saints' rise under Nigel Adkins has been mightily impressive, and they are still in
a position to 'do a Norwich' and gain consecutive promotions up into the Premier League, but the
wheels have fallen off a touch recently. In fact, Southampton have won just of their last six
games, including defeats to Bristol [.
On this week's predictions we feature some of the big games from the FA Cup including the
Manchester derby, as well as the Catalan derby and the Carling Cup semi-final.
The most talked about Premiership player get talked about again! This time Nicholas Spiller sticks
his oar in... The young man knows how to set fires, as evidenced by his recent escapade involving
fireworks and his home bathroom. Mario Balotelli also knows how to light up the scoreboard on the
pitch.
Manchester vs. Manchester: The derby goes beyond a City being far from United
The scarf vs. the ‘sir'. An enigmatic Italian vs. a hot tempered, highly talented English
talisman. A young, earnest Mexican vs. an Argentine taking the Premier League by storm.
- Ah, did we get your Krispy attention?! It's going to be a super exciting football weekend with
the Manchester derby tomorrow as well as Valencia/Bilbao and Real Madrid/
Malaga in Spain! Interestingly, Manchester City have only won
once at Old Trafford since 1974 under Sven-Goran Eriksson in 2008 and Kun
Aguero and the Polecats will be looking to change that tomorrow when they face the King of
Donuts, David de Gea.
Pressure...pushing down on Mick (and Steve and Roberto) Steve Bruce Steve Bruce has often received
unfair criticism during his spell at Sunderland. After all, he guided the club to their highest
finish for a decade last season, and has attracted players of an ilk that the club could only dream
five years ago.

Sir Alex Ferguson, in retrospect, bottled it at Anfield last weekend. In contrast, Roberto Mancini
decided to freshen up after the international break and Manchester City got their just reward. It
is the "noisy neighbours" who are stepping onto the "prawn-sandwiched" 75,000 capacity-filled
Theatre of Dreams as the Premier League leaders.
Both Manchester clubs won in the Champions League today setting up their form quite nicely for this
weekend's massive #1 vs #2 Manchester derby. Sergio Aguero led Roberto Mancini's men to their first
ever Champions League win with a ... Continue reading →
Manchester United can't help to let go their habit of leaving it late to grab trophies. With their
never-say-die attitude, they yet again left it late to beat Manchester City to grab their 19th
Community Sheild yesterday. I was impressed that Sir Alex Ferguson handed four players competitive
debuts at Wembley and wanted to see how they reacted to a derby match when there's a trophy to be
won.
As much as it pains me as a United fan to write a title like this, I will hold my hand up and
admit that today at Wembley, in the FA Cup Semi Final between Man Utd and Man City, that the
Berties fully deserved their 1-0 victory. On a day that promised so much for the city of
Manchester, it was left to Yaya Toure to break the deadlock in a tight game that never really lived
up to it's pre-match billing.
Wayne Rooney settled another pulsating Manchester derby by scoring the Goal of the
Season as Manchester United overcame their city rivals at Old Trafford.
In what may come to be the picturesque moment in this season's absorbing title race, the United
striker seized on a cross by Nani and spectacularly delivered an acrobatic bicycle kick into the
roof of the City net to seal a 2-1 win for the league leaders.
Manchester United's 2-1 victory at Old Trafford today over their bitter rivals
Manchester City, effectively pared the English Premier League title race down to two teams United
and Arsenal. City came to the Theatre of Dreams today to try to open up the title race for
themselves and 3-4 other teams, but, as seems to be the case these days with the Eastlands club,
much promise produced little results.
> The copyright bods are going a little crazy over this goal I'm afraid. Any links
appreciated.
A single goal means nothing in a career.
And I say that as someone who saw Alan Ormen score "that" goal for Hibs against Rangers at
Ibrox.
But this was some strike from Wayne Rooney for Manchester United against Manchester City today.
FSC's Christian Miles celebrates Wayne Rooney's amazing game-winning goal in this morning's 2-1
Manchester Derby win for United. Similar to Berbatov against Liverpool Rooney just hits it so
sweetly. If Rooney keeps scoring like that then no one will ... Continue reading →
Manchester United 3-1 Manchester City (Carling Cup, Semi-Final second Leg, 2009)
After leading 2-1 after the home leg, Manchester City had the impetus to go on to win the tie.
However, they led the lead slip as Manchester United turned the game in their favour after two
early second-half goals.

Speaking about Thursday's 2–0 win over USF, Brian Carroll said, "I thought our possession, our
reaction once the ball turned over, and the amount of chances we created were better today."
Danny Mwanga agreed, but added, "At the same time we had a few more chances that we could have
finished.
Roberto Mancini's pre-match interview before the Manchester Derby calling it as
just another game shows us the enormous pressure the City boss is under to get a result tomorrow
afternoon against United at Old Trafford.
Carlos Tevez likes this A Manchester City employee has been ordered to shut-down his Facebook
account by the club after a series of foul-mouthed outbursts towards Manchester United hit the
headlines. Ged Coyne, City's groundsman for 15 years, was told to remove his 'Ged Coyne
MrManchestercity' account amid fears his comments could stoke up yet [.
