When football pundits discuss Carlos Tevez, they often talk about his "work rate" and his "eye
for the ball." At times, though, the words "work rate" can morph into a backhanded compliment as if
those pundits are really saying, "He's rubbish as a goal scorer, but boy, he sure works hard,
doesn't he?

The story linking Jose Mourinho with a move to Manchester United as manager one day continues to
rumble on. Mourinho has in the past hinted that he would like the job, and again this week, that he
sees his long term future in England.
It would seem unlikely that a return to Chelsea would be on the cards and, going on the assumption
he would only go to a top 4 club, unless there is new ownership at Arsenal then his style of play
wouldn't exactly be welcomed at the Emirates which leaves Man Utd or Liverpool.

Liverpool were handed a massive boost when four players made a rapid return from injury to be
available for tomorrow's game against Man City.
Glen Johnson, Fabio Aurielio, Yossi Benayoun and Albert Riera were all sent to a physiotherapist,
Marin Kovacevic, in Belgrade.
There they were given an unusual and highly unorthodox treatment of a cream made from Horse
placenta combined with wave-treatment.

Rafa Benitez today revealed that he originally bought Robbie Keane to be the linkman between Gareth
Barry and Fernando Torres. But when he failed to sign Barry, Robbie Keane was quickly sold "as
collateral damage".That clears that one up then. I thought Keane was sold because Benitez didn't
fancy him as a player.

Back to some real football this weekend with the return of the Premiership and the arrival of
Wigan at White Hart Lane. It's just a shame we have to wait till Sunday! I'll be at the O2 for the
tennis unfortunately, but I'm hopeful of arriving home to a positive result and lots of goals.
It's another one of those games that on paper, you'd fully expect Tottenham to win.

Rafa Benitez gave a bizarre interview to the Times yesterday, and Liverpool fans should be
worried that the pressure may be getting the better of their leader. When a manager spends time
talking about the support he is getting from the management, threatening to quit, and talking about
the legacy he wants to leave behind, he sounds less like a manager worried about this weekend's
game against Man City and more like a man who wants to put this whole mess behind him.

The papers are very entertaining. Over the last few weeks, not a day has gone by without another

mega-star or a Brazilian wonderkid currently plying his trade in South America.
Last week I wrote an post on how Chelsea had – since the suspension of the transfer ban – been

John Terry has stoked the fires surrounding the current rumour mill that surrounds Chelsea since

thrust upward, yelling "Why, God? Why?!" I think now I can almost think rationally about this.
The big news is that the injury is not quite as bad as it had been first thought. Originally,
everyone was reporting 2-3 months, some of the more sensationalist English papers were saying out
