Given our Anglocentric view of the footballing world, the pre-group stage UEFA Champions League
qualifying playoffs have primarily been about Arsenal's challenging tie against Udinese. But
there's more going on much much more, including some interesting 2nd leg matches today.

A lot of crazy things can happen in football. For example: teams favored in a game can end up
losing by disproportionate numbers. Of course in the end the better teams tend to win out. Time is
a factor in every season and as things wear on, the smaller clubs with their tiny budgets just
cannot keep up.
The 14th round of the Allsvenskan kicked off with GAIS hosting Malmö FF on Sunday the 26th of
June. Now before I get to the good stuff in this game, I wanted to first consider the position that
Rikard Norling is in right now. Malmö had a phenomenal season last year and then started this one
with a bang as well.
After a fantastic International break with two great games for Sweden the Allsvenskan returned
to its more average and everyday existence and yet the drama was just around the corner and waiting
for the right game to have it released...
The struggling kings of Sweden Malmö FF have finally ended their trainer speculations by
hiring Rikard Norling (formerly of Assyriska and AIK).
Malmö Fotbollförening, also known simply as Malmö FF, is a professional football club based in
Malmö, Scania, Sweden. Formed in 1910, the club has won sixteen national championship titles and
fourteen national cup titles. Malmö FF also made it to the 1979 European Champions Cup final where
it fell 1–0 to England's Nottingham Forest.
