Pantomime season is almost upon us, but the contradictory stories over the future of Robinho
continue apace.
There have been a series of reports in today's press with regard to his future, and with many
seemingly different angles taken.
AS reported Joan Laporta as indicating the club would back the management at Barcelona should
Robinho be a target for them:
"We are not going to close any door or end any plan because, although the squad is
competitive, as was shown against Mallorca, if the coaches want to strengthen in the winter market
and they recommend a player to us, I am sure we can make a move.

Everyone's sure to be happy with last night's result – we know we are. The boys came out to win
and they did it, attacking well from the very beginning, with Pedro being surprisingly awesome. Pep
was resting several starters for this match, with Xavi, Messi, Dani, Iniesta, Bojan, and Pinto on
the bench.

This Saturday and Sunday Barca, Real Madrid, and Valencia all have matches against undermatched
opponents. The thing is: I'm not expecting blowouts. No, I'm thinking we have some real
issues on our hands.
Barca gets Osasuna, Real Madrid gets Getafe, and Valencia gets Malaga. I know these seem like
easy wins but I'm not sure of anything anymore.

Atletico Madrid has struggled for positive results all this season. Well they will be kicking
themselves once again as they had a match in perfect position against Mallorca in extra time. The
squad achieved the draw though with a goal in the remaining minutes from Mallorca 1-1. Sevilla
proved once again to be an outstanding defensive minded squad against Espanyol.

After the first full month of La Liga football the Yank is a mediocre 19-12 with his weekly
picks. Thanks to Real Madrid and Barcelona I am over the .500 percent curve, but unfortunately
Barca does not play this weekend and Real Madrid has the toughest match of the week against
Sevilla. So in other words the picks just got a lot harder.

50% of my total picks with a 15-9 total record after three weeks. This weekend, much like every

While the press and the media focus most of their ink and font on the newly built Real Madrid
and the continued brilliance of FC Barcelona, Sevilla carries on with their consistent good form.
On the surface, there is nothing too sexy that immediately grabs headlines, but arguably, Luís
Fabiano is currently playing as the best forward in the world since the continuation of World Cup
Qualifying at the beginning of June.
