The Bucs and Browns are a combined 1-14 this season, while across the pond Manchester United stands
second and Aston Villa stands eight in the Premier League standings. I know what some people are
thinking, what is the connections between the four teams. The connections is simple The Browns and
Aston Villa are owned by Randy Lerner, while the Bucs and Manchester United are owned by Malcolm
Glazer (pictured right).

While Michel Platini's plans for reform in European soccer may, at first glance, appear a serious
threat to English soccer club Liverpool's future in European competition, the club's long-term
future may be significantly brighter once the new measures are put in place.
Liverpool were one of the clubs namechecked by Platini when discussing his reforms in an interview
with the Daily Telegraph newspaper, saying: "If Liverpool pay €60 million (interest) every year
to the banks, it's a lot of money.

News outlets out of Tampa are reporting that Malcolm Glazer is looking for a buyer for his National
Football League team. The Glazer family have owned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 1995, moving them
into a state of the art stadium and winning the 2002 Super Bowl. Glazer completed his takeover of
Manchester United in 2005.

Those of you living in America probably couldn't stop hearing about last weekend's big National
Football League game in London, the third such contest in three years, in which the New England
Patriots tonked Malcolm Glazer's hapless Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have cut costs to the bone this
season, and we can all have a guess as to why.

I'm always curious to see where finances are coming from because as we've seen, money drives this
sport. The ownership trend is one I'd follow over player and manager nationality. An interesting
statistic: Of the 20 clubs currently competing in the English Premier League, half are foreign
owned.

decididamente glamouroso.

Asia is accustomed to hosting teams from Europe. Every summer sees big clubs from the west heading
east to play exhibition games in attempts to win new fans and conquer new markets.
The likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Roma and Juventus
have all paid visits to the world's largest continent in recent years.

The Man Utd Supporters Trust (MUST) have seized on Sir Alex's statement that there will be no
more summer transfers to demand that the club's owners use the £80m generated from the sale of
Cristiano Ronaldo, £25m saved on Carlos Tevez and the £3.5m for Frazier Campbell to Sunderland
into slashing season ticket prices.

After missing out on Karim Benzema, Manchester United are now targetting Newcastle striker
Michael Owen. Owen is available on a free transfer, freeing up some of the Cristiano Ronaldo funds
for another player or - to Malcolm Glazer's delight - to manage United's debts.
United's options are beginning to run thin, and Sir Alex Ferguson believes that he could utilize
Owen perfectly as a third striker.

Previously, I opined that Florida would almost certainly get some World Cup matches, but it would
most likely come down to just one host city. After doing some research, I think that Miami is an
almost lock to be the site, not Tampa.
Just look at the facts. Since the 1994 World Cup (which had Orlando as a venue), Miami/Ft.

Ah, isn't buying a football club the easiest thing in the world. Look how quickly Abramovich
bought Chelsea, the Glazers bought Manchester United and the Abu Dhabi group picked up City.
Compared to the protracted nature of the proposed takeover of Portsmouth, even buying Newcastle
United may be easier.

The Carlos Tevez transfer wrangle has taken a fresh twist as the Argentine stopped off in Rome for
an extra few days as his teammates returned to Manchester.
Tevez was the only member of the squad not to board the plane on Thursday morning and his
distance from the rest of the team pours further fuel on the fire that he is set to leave Old
Trafford for good.

It's impossible to see Manchester United relegated from the Premier League...well ever,
especially if Sir Alex Ferguson can deliver more success and then can pick a worthy successor to
take his place once he retires. United have been so thriving so much recently, that it's difficult
to imagine Ferguson letting the club's owner Malcolm Glazer in having too much of a say in who
succeeds him.

still posted on it, so I suppose I will write something.

FC United of Manchester launched in the summer of 2005 by fans of Manchester United who had grown
increasingly disenchanted with affairs at the club. The hostile takeover by American Malcolm Glazer
was the final straw, although it was not as much Glazer's nationality as his mortgaging the club to
high heaven to complete the purchase that was the primary sticking point.

Adolf Hitler and Malcolm Glazer have a lot in common; both are small coiled springs of
incomprehensible rage, and they most definitely do not respond well to disloyalty. Here then is a

Malcolm Glazer may resemble a leprechaun but who said leprechaun's can't be stubborn and angry,

speculation that Real Madrid intend to cover any fines Ronaldo will likely receive if he plays
hardball with United.
