Per a team press release this morning, the New England Revolution have signed forward/midfielder Diego Fagundez to a multi-year contract extension. As usual, further details of the deal are not being released.
"We're pleased that Diego has made the commitment to remain in New England," Revolution General Manager Michael Burns said.

Back with our regular look at the weekend that was in the world of soccer business. One of the big stories at the end of last week involved hot rumors that Manchester City ownership was aggressively looking to pay $100 million for the New York City franchise in Major League Soccer. The story was reported by an array of credible outlets and the reporting suggested that the deal was near completion.
The broadcast started with a Max Bretos voice-over after a solid lead-in from the College Football lead-in studio. The musical background and voice over followed, with some great highlights of the teams. The match was officially presented by adidas. The studio was manned by Keller, Lalas, Moreno and Bretos.
With the season is continuing to creep up on us, we thought this would be a good time for a team specific soccer business bits. The featured team tonight is the Columbus Crew, the home team in Major League's Soccer's first soccer specific stadium. The Crew have just announced two new corporate partnerships with well known food franchises White Castle and Papa Johns.
