Back To An Uncertain Future

kenn.com 03 November @ 01:19 PM EST

The National Indoor Soccer League is now the Major Indoor Soccer League.

Sound familiar? It should.

This will be - if you're multi-point scoring at home - the third outfit to call itself the MISL. The most recent two have lineage that gets intertwined, but it's basically MISL 3.0. I'd question the wisdom of announcing the change 10 days before the season opens, but, whatever.

EPL Talk 12 June @ 05:20 AM EST

Bring up the topic of indoor soccer and you're bound to get several opinionated viewpoints on it. Many soccer fans love it. Many hate it. Hot Winter Nights: A Game-by-Game History of the Major Indoor Soccer League 1978-92 was a labor of love for my man Rich Paschette and it's a treasure trove for indoor soccer aficionados and stat/sports encyclopedia geeks like me.
