According to Andy Walker at the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham boss Alex
McLeish would like to hold onto goalie Colin Doyle, despite his interest
to leave. McLeish said,
"He (Doyle) is our third-choice goalkeeper, he's cover ... We need to have three good
goalkeepers, Doyley's had a fair bit of experience without being given the total amount of
experience of the other two.

By CARL ELDRIDGE It's the news we dreaded. Just as we get into our stride and look like
contenders for some silverware, the curse of November strikes again. OK, it's not the curse of
reverses that has undone the glorious Gunners in the past during this month, this time it's the
gut-wrenching news that RVP has done his ankle in playing for the Clog-wearing mob against the
Eyeties in a pissing friendly.

Big Story
So, Remembrance Sunday has come and gone, and so have the weekend fixtures in the Premier
League. Did you notice your club donning silkscreen poppies on the centre of their shirts? And
did the gesture move you like a Last Post and Reveille to remember the horror of war?

Good Saturday to you all. Here is the news.
It looks like Manuel Almunia is back in pole position. Or, he would be if Arsenal was a Forumula
1 team and he'd just come fastest in qualifying, but you know what I mean. A mixture of a chest
infection, family tragedy and just plain old poor form meant his start to the season was a bit all
over the shop, but it seems as if the manager is ready to put his faith in him again.

UPDATE: According to the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham boss
Alex McLeish has ruled out the possibility of going after Dynamo
Kiev striker Andriy Shevchenko. McLeish said,

According to Andy Walker at the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham are thought to be
interested in Dynamo Kiev striker Andriy Shevchenko, but he is
not a top priority. One of the biggest reasons is because of his large wages.
Other targets mentioned are West Bromwich midfielder Graham
Dorrans and QPR's Wayne Routledge.

by CARL ELDRIDGE Allow me to get a few things off my chest as we reflect on the total
destruction of the Haringey Pretenders with a highly convincing, highly enjoyable and ultimately an
easy-peasy 3-0 win at the home of football yesterday.
First, a quick memo to Robbie Keane who claimed that Harold 'Steptoe' Redknapp's bunch of
over-hyped, over-paid under-achievers were an altogether better squad than that of the glorious
Gunners.

Having just discovered that Barack Obama is no longer a fan of West Ham from the Mail (don't
worry I read it to take the piss) and is now a fan of Al Wasl's (maybe to align himself with
dealers of Oil, yes ITS is getting political), I thought I would do an A-Listers top 10 this week.
Enjoy!

A pair of young prospects were linked over the weekend with imminent moves to the club. Firstly,
Slovenian midfielder Rene Krhin - currently at Inter, who The People suggest is all but a done
deal:
Krhin should join Hughes's revolution in the New Year, with City keen
to do business now before he costs even more - and possibly appears in the World Cup finals for his
country next summer.

Morning everyone. A fantastic Tuesday to you all. Hope you all enjoyed the win over Birmingham at
the weekend, which I missed because I was out of town at my cousin's first birthday party. Good
result though, and we're right back in the title race with Chelsea losing. But on to other
things.
A while back I talked about receiving an offer from SoccerPro.

Dio sobradas muestras de cómo se conjuga un equipo para sortear de manera contundente las fases
eliminatorias. Pero Bielsa se encuentra en su hora crucial: los rivales europeos y el cronograma de
preparación física.

Yes, I am a newly married man, and like many, I was wondering when the Red Bull organization
would send me a gift for the momentous occasion. Well, here is a gift that I would willingly wait
for, no matter how long it takes to receive it.
The Mail Online from England is reporting that Thierry Henry, Arsenal great and
French legend, may be willing to choose Red Bull New York over a move to Manchester City.

There is a lengthy article in the Mail today with Joleon Lescott in which he covers quite a wide
number of topics. Of most interest perhaps, in discussing his move to the club he says:
‘Moving to City was one of the best days of my life because it was something I wanted,' he
says.

Some links to get you through the day:
1. Ferguson is in a row with Foster, apparently. No quotes to back it up, but it's quite
possible Ferguson might have been annoyed with the way Kenwyne Jones' goal was conceded. He was
angry at many things following the Sunderland game, he would have picked a fight with a priest.

Has the end of the time when no-one dare utter a word against him finally come?

It started back in January with Rafa's rant.

he only played 56 minutes.
