Arsenal's midfield maestro Cesc Fabregas has been speaking to the Spanish press about his country's upcoming friendly with Austria, admitting that he doesn't know too much about tomorrow's rivals. The 21-year-old Gunners' skipper said that the Spaniards will treat the game exactly as they do every other game aiming to win. Click to continue reading...

We’ll just have to cope without Robin Van Chocolate Leg

Arsenal Insider 16 November @ 01:32 PM EST

by JAMES CURTIS It would seem the November injury curse stretches beyond just Arsenal playing staff. This dreaded plague is now spreading among Arsenal fans too as I write this with a fractured leg, sustained over the same weekend as Van Persie ruptured his ankle ligaments playing for the Dutch against Italy.

Calciopoli: Bhea e i titoli dei giornali

GolBlog 09 November @ 09:07 AM EST

The agent of Andrea Dossena has released a statement denying that the player is in talks with Napoli ahead of a potential return to Serie A in the January transfer window.

Petrus 1988 – Highbury 2004: A Vintage Year for Wine And A Vintage Year for Football

Avenell Road 05 November @ 05:34 AM EST

Arsenal verses Alkmaar 2009: this was not a beery, blood and guts affair of Tottenham in the League or a high energy, alcoho pop fuelled Carling Cup encounter with Liverpool, this Champions League game was a fine red wine for the football connoisseur.

An excellent selection by Wenger: a blend of player that complemented each with the depth of Gallas and Vermaelen and the much anticipated combination of Fabregas, Arshavin and Nasri.

Kagisho’s lament

Craven Cottage Newsround 03 November @ 04:10 PM EST

Kagisho Dikgacoi on life in England.

Life's all about opportunities isn't it?  Sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't.  Kagisho had a debut at a time when the team's usual defensive midfielder, Dickson Etuhu, was out injured.  The Scott Parker incident meant Chris Baird has been given the nod, and hardly put a foot wrong.

Best Football Advert Ever… Cesc Fabregas – Total Control

Inthestands.co.uk - Football Banter For the Masses - Football Blog 23 October @ 01:14 PM EST

Yet another advert hot off the Nike production line and this one has Cesc Fabregas advertising the new CTR360 Maestri boots.

It's genius in my opinion as it shows Cesc being the midfield maestro that he is, but in a Bond Villain-esque way. The boots are apparently not bad either as my captain (and centre half) has said that he's tempted to get rid of all his shoes and just wear these boots, as they are the most comfortable shoes he's had.

Will The Real Wayne Rooney Please Stand Up?

The Dribzleroo 03 August @ 07:57 PM EST

This could be Wayne Rooney's season. No, this will be Wayne Rooney's season. It has to be. For too long has this prodigious talent stood in the shadow of a certain Portuguese maestro (I don't mean Nani) at Manchester United. Now that this distraction has left (how I wish it was Nani), it's time for Rooney to show why Sir Alex Ferguson made him the world's most expensive teenager (although he didn't look like one) in world football back in 2004.
