KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Montreal Impact made Duke centerback Andrew Wenger the first selection
in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, taking the versatile, U.S. Under-23 defender with its first-ever draft
pick.
Wenger, the 2011 MAC Hermann Trophy winner, is the reigning ACC Offensive Player of the Year, a
year after he captured the conference's Defensive Player of the Year honors.
The 2011 Missouri Athletic Club announced this years Hermann Trophy Semifinalists on December
4th.

Restrepo was an NCAA champion at Virginia in 2009
Former U-17 goalkeeper Diego Restrepo has taken the next step in his professional career with
America de Cali in his native Colombia. Since leaving residency, Restrepo has become an NCAA
champion with Virginia before moving down to South America to try to break into the professional
game.
Palos Verdes Estates' Christen Press (magicJack) was named Rookie of the Year, while Rolling
Hills Estates Whitney Engen (Western New York Flash) received the Defender of the Year honor in
Women's Professional Soccer.
Engen, 24, led the regular season champions to a 13-2-2 record and missed just one game (while
on national team duty) all season; Press, the reigning 2010 MAC Hermann trophy winner out of
Stanford, scored eight goals for magicJack - almost one-third of the team's total - and just two
behind former LA Sol striker Marta, who took the Golden Boot Award despite playing in just 14
games.

Darlington Nagbe is soft-spoken, one who prefers to allow his actions on the field speak for
him. As the franchise's first draft pick, Nagbe's career will be eternally scrutinized by the Rose
City faithful.
After no Hermann Trophy winners in the first 21 years the award was given out, Stanford
University has now won two in a row in Kelley O'Hara and Christen Press, who is in camp with the
U.S. U-23s. The two forwards took time out for a quick photo before O'Hara hit the field for a
scrimmage this evening.
