Australian cyclist became the first athlete from his country to win the most famous bike race in
the world. The 34-year-old also became the oldest winner of the Tour de France in more than a
generation.
Obviously, since it's June and all and we're already one month since Barca's Wembley victory.
Time to turn the page.

Apologies for the temporary hiatus from blogging. Thankfully Jeff did a great job of recapping
the recent matches against Luxembourg and Croatia.
Probably the biggest recent story in group D is the suspension of Bosnia from all international
competitions. I do believe this destroys any hopes of them qualifying for the tournament as I do
not think they will be able to fix things before their next qualifier on June 3rd.
The Netherlands survived a scare Tuesday to beat Hungary 5-3 and maintain its perfect record in
European Championship qualifying, while Spain extended its unblemished start to Group I with a 3-1
win at Lithuania.
Spain's 15 points puts it six ahead of the Czech Republic, which beat Liechtenstein 2-0.
Patrice Evra returned to International football after being suspended by the FFA for his part in
the protests against the former French manager Raymond Domenech.
As captain, Evra was seen as a ring-leader, a role which he himself denies having.
Ahead of France's 2-0 win over Luxembourg this weekend, former Arsenal midfielder, Robert Pires,
expressed his sympathy for Evra and the rest.
Earlier today, Laurent Blanc released his squad to face Luxembourg on March 25th and Croatia on
the 29th. Here is the squad:
Goalkeepers: Lloris, Mandanda, Carrasso
Defenders: Clichy, Evra, Koscielny, Mexes, Rami, Reveillere, Sagna, Sakho
Midfielders: Diaby, A.
