After only four months in charge of Uzbekistan side FC Bunyodkor, Luis Felipe Scolari is once
again facing the sack. Despite earning an astonishing £230,000 a week as head coach of the
ambitious side; Scolari has become unstuck once again.
There are parallels to be drawn with his infamous tenure at Chelsea which ended in Feburary
2009.

Ever since the arrival of the Roman Abramovich era at Chelsea, the world of football seems to
exist in two separate yet parallel universes.
There are clubs who teeter on the brink of bankruptcy despite brief flirts with glory (a la
Leeds United and recently at Portsmouth). Then there are other clubs whose history has been
blanketed by anonymity and mediocrity but now whose names, with the financial aid of the
multi-billionaire, are dared uttered in the same sentence with title aspirations.

Wolves fans are gutted. Prior to this weekend's fixtures, Portsmouth
had lost their first seven matches. While losing runs can't go on forever, every club in the
country was licking it's lips at the prospect of playing the South Coast side. But on a glorious
Saturday afternoon, in front of a packed Molineux, Wolves fans witnessed utter
horror as their team became the first club to give up points to Europe's worst team.

Anyone who watched World Cup 2002 will remember this inexcusable piece of play-acting from
Brazilian maestro Rivaldo.
Turkey defender Hakan Unsal was sent-off as a result of the incident, which makes Rivaldo's
histrionics even worse.
Luis Felipe Scolari, who was managing Brazil at the time, offered this lame interpretation of the
incident:
"The ball hit him on the knee and then bounced upwards.

Billionaire oligarch Roman Abramovich will have seen a few diamonds in his time. Thanks to his
latest managerial appointment at Chelsea, he is observing a new one, and on initial inspection, it
may be to his liking.
In the spirit of pre-season hype, much has been written about Carlo Ancelotti's favoured diamond
system.

Taking the Chelsea job was never going to be easy for Carlo Ancelotti. He still doesn't speak
much English and he is going to have to adapt to the pace on the Premier League pretty quickly.
Ancelotti arrives at Chelsea with a pretty decent pedigree having led Milan to two Champions
League successes as well as finishing runner up once.

Brazilian coach, who is currently employed in Uzbekistan, found some time to give his thoughts
on the burning issues in football. Big Phil believes that main reasons behind Ronaldinho's
downfall are the fact that he is overweight and that he's lost

In the first half of a month which has seen Real Madrid twice break the football record for
player transfer fees paid, the news that World cup winning Brazilian coach Filipe Scolari had
recently signed an 18 month contract with the Uzbek champions Bunyodkor barely registered as a
murmur on the global game's seismograph.

Despite being also-rans for a large part of the season, one cannot help but thinking that the
Premier League is beginning to open up for Chelsea for the 2009-10 season. While Guus Hiddink may
now have left the club, the Blues will certainly fancy their chances under new man Carlo Ancelotti
of regaining their title which has alluded them since the departure of Jose Mourinho.

With the recent appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the new Chelsea manager and the recent

with the 32-year-old striker.

The Premier League has been decided and the Champions League is off to Spain, but there is still
one major trophy left to fight over this season in England – The FA Cup.
Blue certainly will be the colour at Wembley on Saturday as Chelsea take on Everton. The bookies
are favouring a Chelsea win, after all the club finished the season in third place and only
narrowly missed out on a spot in the Champions League final.

Luis Felipe Scolari has been approached by the Angolan FA to manage the Angolan national squad.
His contract, if he accepts it, runs to the end of the Africa Cup of Nations which is to be hosted
by Angola in January 2010.
Angola has been overshadowed by its West African counterparts and Egypt until recently when they
qualified for the 2006 World Cup and entered the quarterfinals of the 2008 Africa Cup.

When the Guus Hiddink genius rolled into town two months ago to replace Luis Felipe Scolari, few
could be forgiven for feeling a bit of worry that Hiddink, yes Hiddink, was rocking up to take over
Chelsea. Robin van Persie was part of what must have been a very large crew cursing their luck
about the new Chelsea gaffer.
