I am utterly convinced that Yohann Gourcuff is the star of tomorrow and that Milan made a huge mistake by letting him go. Four goals and two assists in three games in Le Championnat for the French midfielder is already an impressive tally and there are no signs of him slowing down. Somewhat depending on his World Cup 2010 I wouldn't be surprised to see him wearing the colors of Chelsea or Man United next year.

Can Bordeaux retain the title?

Bordeaux took advantage of Lyon's problems last season and they managed to pip Marseille to the Ligue 1 title. That was a big success for Les Girondins led by Laurent Blanc from the bench and Yoann Gourcuff from the pitch. These two were the reasons behind team's success, although they had big help from Gourcuff's teammates.

Lucho is expected to be out for 3 to 4 weeks.

The latest reports are suggesting that they are on the verge of signing Porto playmaker Lucho Gonzalez, having agreed a €17 million fee for the Argentine player, who is thus set to become the most expensive signing in club's history.
