Because with live in a world of litigation and because people get all bent out of shape over the
smallest things (that could easily be explained) and because litigation takes forever and lawyers
are expensive (otherwise they wouldn't bother to take forever) and because you can get any kind of
suspension lifted while you're waiting for an appeal it appears that Chelsea can do business as
usual since the Court of Arbitration for Sport won't be able to set a date for a hearing until
February.

Can I get an Amen? This week's winner is: The Holy Babel.
I don't know if you guys have noticed this yet, but I really REALLY like name puns. And I think
there is a serious lack of clever names in the official game. Too many teams are named some form
of: FC My Town or Gunners Rule6969.

As much stick as American fans of football a/k/a soccer get from the mainstream sports media and
sports fan, I'm always shocked at how many fans of the Beautiful Game dismiss the women's game.
Those of us who take even a passing interest in women's football know it is not a gentle love fest.

by CARL ELDRIDGE Arsenal face Manchester City in the quarter final of the Carling Cup next month
and Gooners everywhere are praying Arsene Wenger's Young Guns can overcome Mark Hughes' side,
complete with Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure. Robin van Persie has already stated he'd love to
play against City and his reasons no doubt refer to the incident in the 4-2 Premier League defeat
in which Adebayor kicked RVP in the face.

We're making that assumption, anyway. Even though the pair aren't pictured in the same photo
frame and it's technically possible that they just happened to be in the same place at the same
time coincidentally and not because they aren't having mad monkey love together every night.
As we continue to deal with Iker and his new relationship, at least we can take comfort in the
fact that some things never change: our long-term F5 number 1 still has issues choosing shirts we
deem to be acceptable.

Gabriel Obertan impressed for much of his début against Barnsley before looking tired in the
final fifteen minutes or so. He kept the ball really well, ran at the opposition with speed and
showed off his silky skills. He looks to be the real deal, regardless of what Larry White
thinks.
He's only had one game so there's no point getting ahead of ourselves, but some sections of the
press have already questioned what impact Obertan's arrival and début might have on Nani.

figured I would just dump them in here together.

the international break in November.

For the love of football!
This looks like too much fun. What footballer wouldn't want to have a go at a game like
this?
Play Guitar Hero by kicking soccer balls against a warehouse wall? The scale of this takes
video gaming to another level, and looks silly fun. It would take a handful of good footballers
and some practice to manage a decent score, but wouldn't it be a blast to try?
