Chelsea Can Go Back To The Office…

English Premier league 07 November @ 02:07 PM EST

Because with live in a world of litigation and because people get all bent out of shape over the smallest things (that could easily be explained) and because litigation takes forever and lawyers are expensive (otherwise they wouldn't bother to take forever) and because you can get any kind of suspension lifted while you're waiting for an appeal it appears that Chelsea can do business as usual since the Court of Arbitration for Sport won't be able to set a date for a hearing until February.

Best Fantasy Team Name Ever of the Week

Never Captain Nicky Butt 06 November @ 12:39 PM EST
Can I get an Amen?
This week's winner is: The Holy Babel.
I don't know if you guys have noticed this yet, but I really REALLY like name puns. And I think there is a serious lack of clever names in the official game. Too many teams are named some form of: FC My Town or Gunners Rule6969. Click to continue reading...

Don't Mess With UNM'S Elizabeth Lambert

The Zygo Soccer Report 06 November @ 08:13 AM EST
As much stick as American fans of football a/k/a soccer get from the mainstream sports media and sports fan, I'm always shocked at how many fans of the Beautiful Game dismiss the women's game. Those of us who take even a passing interest in women's football know it is not a gentle love fest. Click to continue reading...

WIN! Free lager up for grabs for Gooners

Arsenal Insider 06 November @ 05:29 AM EST
by CARL ELDRIDGE Arsenal face Manchester City in the quarter final of the Carling Cup next month and Gooners everywhere are praying Arsene Wenger's Young Guns can overcome Mark Hughes' side, complete with Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure. Robin van Persie has already stated he'd love to play against City and his reasons no doubt refer to the incident in the 4-2 Premier League defeat in which Adebayor kicked RVP in the face. Wayne Rooney has again reiterated his love for our club, claiming he wants to spend the rest of his career here and hopefully get somewhere near Ryan Giggs' appearance record.

Ana Isabel and Iker Casillas: Still On

KICKETTE 04 November @ 10:36 AM EST

We're making that assumption, anyway. Even though the pair aren't pictured in the same photo frame and it's technically possible that they just happened to be in the same place at the same time coincidentally and not because they aren't having mad monkey love together every night.

As we continue to deal with Iker and his new relationship, at least we can take comfort in the fact that some things never change: our long-term F5 number 1 still has issues choosing shirts we deem to be acceptable.

Replacing Ronaldo – Obertan Or Nani?

Republik Of Mancunia 30 October @ 10:27 AM EST

Gabriel Obertan impressed for much of his début against Barnsley before looking tired in the final fifteen minutes or so. He kept the ball really well, ran at the opposition with speed and showed off his silky skills. He looks to be the real deal, regardless of what Larry White thinks.

He's only had one game so there's no point getting ahead of ourselves, but some sections of the press have already questioned what impact Obertan's arrival and début might have on Nani.

Fabianski Injured, Merida Negotiations Continue, Gibbs for England?

Just several random things going on today, none of which really deserve their own post, so I figured I would just dump them in here together.

First, Lukasz Fabianski, who many were predicting would become Arsenal's # 1 goalkeeper when he returned to health, hurt his thigh in last night's Carling Cup fixture and will be out until after the international break in November.

Guitar Hero using soccer balls?

Attacking 90 28 October @ 01:07 AM EST
For the love of football!

This looks like too much fun. What footballer wouldn't want to have a go at a game like this?

Play Guitar Hero by kicking soccer balls against a warehouse wall? The scale of this takes video gaming to another level, and looks silly fun. It would take a handful of good footballers and some practice to manage a decent score, but wouldn't it be a blast to try?

Cissokho Dreams Of England
