The Kickette round commences at 38.29. But really, you should watch the whole show. You're clearly
not busy, because you're here.
If our appearance on ESPN's Talk Of The Terrace didn't give you a hint that boys have no clue
what a woman wants from a footballer, our latest foray into TV territory certainly should.
I wondered being honest, how long it would take until we heard from either Nico Anelka or Alex
after their departures from Chelsea back in last month's transfer window and it hasn't taken
long.
The Sun over here in the UK leads with an interview Anelka has given about the end of his Chelsea
career and claims he was left to rot with the reserves.
BESOS! Check out Argentinean club's Velez Sarsfield's
new jersey... which has kisses imprinted all over it! Interestingly, there is a cool concept behind
this. To celebrate their love for the club, Velez fans were invited to kiss the
jersey and have it published as part of the "My Love For Velez" campaign.
My friends and I often indulge in extended debate on the club vs. country issue and how so far,
it's ‘OK' to support England. We eschew the jingoism, the hooliganism, the sheer repugnance of
many of those called on to sport the jersey, the overreaction to defeat and over-anticipation of
victory, the arrogance and the aggression, but still wish for a team we can support.
Last night Fernando Torres appeared on Chelsea TV's "Friday Night Live" programme where he answered
questions from the fans. Chelsea have kindly uploaded some of the interview to their official
channel on YouTube which I will feature for you here.
Torres was asked about how we is settling in at Chelsea and his relation ship with the fans
below:
In the full interview featured on the official website, Torres said:
'Since I joined Chelsea it has been amazing.

spectacles, but sometimes a greater force overtakes our love for all things football. On Wednesday
afternoon, 80 people went to a football match in Egypt to support their team. They could never know
that they would never come home.

It's only a matter of time that the Indianapolis Colts let Peyton Manning walk. Since they have
the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and will select Andrew Luck, the Colts will let go of Manning
and go in a different direction.
With that in mind, where will Manning end up? Well, first of all, since he's dealing with a neck
injury, there's a chance he will retire.
Now we're going after another kid? Lord knows what you're doing Andre. Lord knows. More, after

Right. His name is Patrick Bamford. He's 18 years old, and at present, logged a whopping 12
career minutes for the first team at Nottingham Forest.

Arsene Wenger has tried to minimize the damage to Andrei Arshavin's confidence by last weeks booing

overboard when he said: "I love Arshavin as a man and as a player. "I don't think the fans were

The Union and MLS have scheduled a press conference in Philadelphia for Tuesday, where
Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter and MLS commissioner are expected to announce that PPL Park will
be host this summer's 2012 MLS All-Star Game.
Initially it appeared that Robin Van Persie had been so averse to Alex Oxlade Chamberlain's
substitution against Manchester United because he had set a goal up for him moments earlier. But it
has now emerged that the Arsenal skipper's angry reaction at the youngster being hauled off was due
to the fact that he is [.

Thanks to Melbourne Victory Football Club I have one double pass to give away for the big Australia
Day clash vs Sydney FC, next Thursday (January 26) at AAMI Park. To enter, answer the following
question.... Ricardinho is: a) The best player to ever wear a Melbourne Victory shirt. b) Better
than Leandro Love.
Following soccer is like being in love with someone who's (a) gorgeous, (b) fascinating, (c)
possibly quite evil, and (d) only occasionally aware of your existence.5 There's a continuous
low-grade suffering that becomes a sort of addiction in its own right.6 You spend all your time
hoping they'll notice you, and they never do, and that unfulfilled hope feels like your only
connection to them.

The challenge today is to see if I can go through a whole blog without mentioning Thierry
Henry.
Oh, balls. Well, mentioning him again. I know we football fans live very much in the moment, and
the moment is kinda all his, but I reckon I've had my fill of articles about how great he is in
training.
Let's go to Matt Good with the call:
Henry's return yesterday wasn't that of a play maker, but of a striker whose pace is
nowhere near what it was, a fact that has been amply displayed during his time playing in New York.
But coming on with just over ten minutes to play, invigorated by what can only be described as near
the religious fanaticism of the Arsenal faithful, the club's greatest goal scorer did what he
always has – scored with what seemed like complete effortlessness.
The quick gist: Omar Gonzalez has a left ACL rupture, he's been recalled (in every applicable sense
of the word) to L.A. for surgery and will probably miss 4-6 months. Shocking bad luck all the way
around, but FC Nürnberg seemed to fall in love with guy fast. Don't at all be surprised if we see
him "visiting" again before 2012 is over.

Today Major League Soccer released the 2012 schedule and it's being touted as the longest ever,
running from March 10 until the MLS Cup final on December 1. That leaves January and February as
the only calendar months without league matches.
December is more of a psychological barrier than anything else.

How the hell could you paraphrase that?
