The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) has announced the list of 55 U.S., Canadian and Mexican National Team players that will be allocated to the eight clubs.

All 18 U.S. players on the gold medal-winning 2012 Olympic team are included in the allocation, while 13 of the Canadian players were part of the bronze medal-winning team.

A leaked copy of Toronto FC's 2012 schedule obtained by Canadian Soccer News shows the Union traveling to BMO Field on May 26 and Sept. 15, with the Canadian team at PPL Park on July 7. This unbalanced schedule thing is gonna take some getting used to.

Vero Boquete scored the only goal in the Philadelphia Independence 1–0 win over Atlanta on Sunday night. It was her third game winning goal in the last four games, and with it the Independence secured at least a second place finish in WPS. A season high, 4,000 people were on hand as Philadelphia welcomed the bottom team in WPS to Widener University

The match was the first at home for the Independence's USWNT players Lori Lindsey, Amy Rodriguez and Nicole Barnhart since the end of the Women's World Cup.

Amy Rodriguez scored in the 40th minute against Italy on Saturday to give the USWNT a ticket to the 2012 World Cup.

The Philadelphia Independence forward slid in to finish a shot from Megan Rapinoe that the Italian keeper stopped but couldn't control.
