Woolwich Arsenal, the club that changed football. Have your name in the book as an official
sponsor. Updated information here

We would like to thank you for the outpouring of positive feedback for this project. It took a long
time but know that it was a labour of love, so if you hate on them, too bad. You should see the
printed version. You'd swear you bought them at a hobby store. They're shiny and pretty. Sure, I
could've gone all holographics like Upper Deck, but I don't have that kind of dosh for what is
really an elaborate joke.
After a short loan from the New York Red Bulls, famous French forward Theirry Henry will finish his
loan with Arsenal on time. Following successful appearances with his long-time former... Read more

I meant to get this up last night, but had some technical difficulties with Blogger. A day later,
there's still a lot swirling around in my head after hearing the news that Harry Keough had passed
away. Many of those swirling things are memories, which is funny because for a long time I didn't
actually realize who he was.
"We Actually had the highest corporate sponsorship revenue ever in Major League Soccer out of
the gate. In year one for an expansion in Portland.
Question: You guys turned a profit in your first full season in MLS
MP: Yes. I mean it will be a long time before we are profitable when you look at the money we
sunk into this thing.
With matters outside of football keeping Roman Abramovich busy, it was great to hear that he was at
Cobham to see the players train on Saturday, to see AVB for a chat about things and to attend the
game on Sunday. Roman even popped in to chat with the players for 30 minutes after the 3-3 draw
with United.
Mali made it to the semifinal of the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating the co-hosts Gabon on
penalty kicks. Gabon played a good match with massive home support that included Gabon's long-time
president Omar Bongo. It was an intense match where Gabon took the lead early in the second half by
Eric Mouloungui.
I am asking the question to you the football fan reading this because I will be honest, I just
don't know how to feel about the game tomorrow.
Being honest with you, this is the first time that I can remember in a long time that Chelsea are
about to take on United and I don't feel confident at all!
The NASL expansion San Antonio Scorpions club added four more players, including long-time MLS vet
Ryan Cochrane, along with one of the top NASL attackers last season, Pablo Campos of the Carolina
RailHawks, in addition to signing two young players with local ties. The RailHawks, meanwhile,
will have Chris Nurse back in the fold for [.
Perhaps that should be, 2012 HAS to be different. More than some recent poor results, last
night's 0-0 with Bolton felt like it signalled the death knell for our season.
I say this because for once we can't hide behind conceding fluke goals or wonder goals. I say
this because despite keeping a clean sheet for the first time in what feels like eternity, we could
not score at a ground where the likes of United and Chelsea scored five.

Reports from Craven Cottage are suggesting that Fulham have sold QPR a player who "never existed
in the first place."
The extraordinary claims come on the back of Bobby Zamora's mooted £5 million move from Fulham
to QPR.
A source from the West Ham grounds staff revealed today that "Bobby Zamora gave up football a
long time ago.
It's been a very long time since I had anything to write about Belizean soccer beyond the power
struggle in the national federation. But the newly formed Premier League of Belize elected a
chairman earlier this month, and a new league season is on the horizon. The new season starts next
weekend (4-5 February) with twelve clubs split into two geographical zones.
A week is a long time in football. Seven days ago we were preparing for a league game against
Manchester United, a game from which we hoped to get points, primarily, and restore some confidence
after a couple of miserable results previously. Clearly that worked out well.
We've spent the last week poring over that game, the incidents, the manager's decision making
and everything else.
The three best American soccer players in the world will be on the field together in a club
match for the first time ever as Tim Howard and Landon Donovan lead Everton against Clint Dempsey
and Fulham (3pm, Fox Soccer Channel).
Today's FA Cup Fourth Round showdown is being billed as a battle between Dempsey and Donovan,
long-time USA teammates and two great players who draw different reactions from different fans.
Saturday's win did many things but most of all it reminded us that, while the current Fulham
squad does need a bit of tweaking, it contains a number of good players and making moves in January
for the sake of making moves in January is probably not something we need to get too involved
with.
Take the AJ situation.

As your probably aware, Pies suffered a pretty large hack attack yesterday, knocking us off air
for almost the entire day hence the reason we're slightly late with this one, but it's a goody so
we hope you'll forgive the tardyness.
What we have here is Lionel Messi scoring the third goal of an obligatory,
barely-worth-mentioning hat-trick against Malaga on Sunday eve instantly made great by Gol TV
co-commentator Ray Hudson (a long-time Pies hero) reaching a point of euphoric climax in the
process.
Anfield legend Kevin Keegan has delivered a withering assessment of Liverpool's wretched
performance against Bolton yesterday, and he believes that some of the club's players will find
themselves dumped on the sidelines for a long time to come. Summarising the game for ESPN, Keegan
was typically blunt with his assessment of Liverpool's performance:"He [Dalglish] is livid; he's
very disappointed,
It's a long time since we felt so upbeat about Newcastle. Alan Pardew aiming for top six The
arrival of Papiss Cisse has shown that Mike Ashley really does want to build a good side on
Tyneside, and of course he's getting a lot of help from Alan Pardew, who is looking like an
excellent manager for the club.
The abuse I've seen thrown at Aaron Ramsey lately has been a sick joke.
Some of it has even bordered on things I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy.
I couldn't believe my eyes at some of the stuff I've seen. I mean death threats?! Over a game of
football?! Come on behave yourself.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The New York Red Bulls turned some heads by trading a 2013 first-round pick
and allocation money to the Portland Timbers for veteran striker Kenny Cooper, a move intriguing
for a number of reasons, none more than the fact that New York already has a full stable of
first-team strikers in Thierry Henry, Luke Rodgers and Juan Agudelo.
Twitter (Follow me on @_Wrighty7) and the interweb is buzzing like a bumble bee today that Chelsea
man Salomon Kalou could be on the move to Arsenal.
Now I believe this is the sort of deal that will be like Marmite to Gooners. Some will like it, and
some will hate it.
I happen to think that Kalou would be a very good signing for the club.
QPR have sacked manager Neil Warnock and his backroom staff have also left the club. Malaysian
owner Tony Fernandes released this statement:
"This decision has been made in the best interests of the Club and I can assure everyone that this
is not a decision that was made lightly."
"Sadly, our recent run of poor form has seen us slip alarmingly down the table and the Board
felt it was the right time to make a change.
There has been plenty of hype surrounding Tom Cleverley over the past year or two which reached
a climax this summer once Paul Scholes announced his retirement. Cleverley was tipped by plenty to
be the successor to one of the most gifted midfielders this country has ever seen.
Fortunately for the lad, and for the team, Cleverley dealt with the expectation well, and
confirmed his place in the starting XI at the start of the season.

The Colorado Rapids have signed Oscar Pareja as their head coach, the club announced on
Thursday.
Having beaten out three other finalists, Pareja will attempt to lead the Rapids to the MLS Cup
final in his first head coaching position.
Frank Lampard has once again reiterated that he needs games to find his best form, the team spirit
is OK at the club and also an interesting point, he believes that it's the established core of the
Chelsea side that has seen us through in the last seven years and that same core is important to us
this season.
The Colorado Rapids are set to hire FC Dallas assistant and Academy Director Oscar Pareja has
the team's new head coach, the Denver Post reported on Tuesday evening.
Pareja has beaten out a group of candidates that included Denis Hamlett, Tom Soehn and Richie
Williams. The Rapids are expected to make the announcement this week.
Liverpool has been handed a transfer blow after long-time target Stevan Jovetic pledged his
immediate future to Fiorentina.
The 22-year-old Montenegrin forward has been a key player for the Italian side this term after
missing the whole of last season through injury.
Liverpool has monitored Jovetic in the past but he says he wants to stay in Italy.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has reiterated his desire to return to the English Premier
League after his spell at Real Madrid is over.
Mourinho told BBC Radio Four's Today programme last week:
"I am very, very happy to be in Real Madrid. It is a great experience for me.
We are hoping that 6'4″ Mike Williamson can start on Monday afternoon at Bolton. Mike
Williamson can make huge difference at Bolton Mike will not really be match fit, but we always
remember that when he made his debut for Newcastle in January of last year, against Crystal
Palace at St. James' Park, he hadn't played for a long time after arriving from Portsmouth.
The Philadelphia Union revealed today that the team has acquired Porfirio Lopez, the first
transfer in a long time that the club has managed to keep secret before the official announcement.
The signing will go through once the team receives Lopez's International Transfer Certificate and
P-1 visa.
Lopez has played mostly in Costa Rica, his native country, throughout his career, after debuting
with Santos de Guapiles in 2005.
The death of long time North Korean leader Kim Jung Il was greeted with shed loads of tears by
North Koreans living within the secretive Communist state. Kim Jung Il's death has also triggered
memories of Jong Sae-Te's heart-wrenching tears before North Korea's match with Brazil at World Cup
2010. It was eye-opening stuff and [.
Kenny gets it right again – Villa 0 Liverpool 2
Aston Villa 0 Liverpool 2 Premier League – Result – December 18 2011 KENNY DALGLISH'S side
came away from Villa Park with a 2-0 win that didn't do their performance justice but ensured they
started the hectic festive fortnight with three points and ended the day three points from the
Champions League places.
The New England Revolution are a team in transition this offseason. Long-time coach Steve Nicol
has been fired and replaced by a man familiar to Revs fans: former player Jay Heaps. The new head
man comes in at a time ...

It isn't so much the actual growing of the beard that's bothering us here.
Jay Heaps has a tough job. The former player turned coach is now in the process of righting the
ship that's lost its way in New England. A lot has been made of the Revolution's choice to hire
Heaps, whether it's support for someone who knows the organization or criticism at his lack of
experience.
Molded by some of the best coaches in all of sports, he has some fantastic experiences to draw on.
Hope You Like Michael Gspurning, He Might Be Here A While
One thing jumped out at me during Wednesday's teleconference: Michael Gspurning really seems
smitten with Seattle. That can't possibly be bad, and could mean that he's going to be here for a
long time. Here's what I said about that at the Seattle regional site.
The morning after doesn't feel any better. If anything the feeling is even worse than last night,
like a terrible hangover that will take some time to get rid of. Trouble is that, like all
hangovers, some say it was utterly unexpected while some say that it had been coming for a long
time. Newspapers, [.
THIS BLOG HAS BEEN VERY SLOW FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS
IT WAS TAKING A NAP, AFTER A LOT OF HECTIC DAYS.
WILL BE BACK SOON :)
For now, something old and nice, from the 1990 friendly before the WC festival, Uruguay beat
England at Wembly 2-1.
All goals were very nice, especially that John Barnes goal for England, I was looking for it since
very long time,
