Literally, Nope, not drink induced, although that's how it feels. I have an inner ear infection
which basically means I can't move without falling over. Under Doctors orders I'm confined to bed
to keep my head as still as possible which in itself is causing problems as my neck stiffens up and
threatens to bring on a full blown migraine.

Southend United will today (Wed) learn whether they will enter administration and be deducted
10-points from their League One tally.
Yesterday (3rd), at around 8pm, a bid to take over the club by a consortium of local businesses was
turned down by the board of SUFC. The un-named 10-strong party had wanted to buy the club for a
nominal fee, rid it of its debts and - according to its spokesman - push the business forward.

In July I wrote a piece about Bruno Demichelis, a sports psychologist Ancelotti brought with him
from Milan. Judging from his experience in setting up the venerated MilanLab, it seemed he had
moved to London to help extend the careers of Chelsea's older players. The latest from Cobham
suggests that he's turning to an unlikely source – meditation – to take the science much
further.

It was great to see the U.S. qualify for the World Cup and I think that's great for American
soccer, but as a Swede, of course I'm upset that we couldn't qualify. Our biggest rival is Denmark
and we knocked them out last qualification round and unfortunately they knocked us out this
time.
And they are much more relaxed here in Seattle.

Score-lines from the weekend's football included a 2-2 draw between West Ham and Arsenal at Upton
Park, ahead of Arsenal's rather more bitter London derby this weekend against Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea trounced Blackburn Rovers 5-0 after a defeat against Aston Villa the week before which
keeps them out in front, though in a rather less spectacular points lead.

eventful weekend in the Premier League.
Chris and Graham reflect on their respective team's performance in the London derby twixt West Ham

Fulham and we celebrate the Liverpool v Manchester United Super Classico or at least the last half
an hour or so.

the Hammers in the second half.

London Derby number two is up next when we play West Ham and as usual the media are building it
up in their own typical manner.
Couple of them focused on Wenger's thoughts on Upson. As we know, Upson never quite fulfilled
his potential at Arsenal. If I'm wrong about this do correct me but his last ever game in an
Arsenal shirt was against Aston Villa in 2001 where he was absolutely shocking in the first
half.

It was another brutal outing for Tim Howard and Everton this afternoon. Facing Benfica in a
clash of the top two teams in Group I, it was never going to be easy. Three of the four Everton
defenders were playing out of position, including Seamus Coleman, on his club debut.
The results were pretty much what you would expect.

I apologize to the joker for stealing that quote but it fits in well with this mini review of

We've now played three games and collected 7 points. Most often than not, 9 points usually does
the trick with regards to qualification. We have two home games, one against Alkmaar and the other
against Liege.
