Yesterday, we took a look at the proposed old-school badge of a club that wasn't all that old-school to begin with. We opted for one direction over another as the kit to pursue and went with the cold Soviet-style logo. This should work.
So, with fellow kit and logo nerd @theyorkies1812, firmly behind this project, we decided to make sure this sucker has all of the things needed for this to, at least appear, to be something from a bygone era.
So our discussions of nerding out over the idea of a retro kit was on the basis of our love of past kits. Not necessarily the most memorable ones based on hideousness or outright fame but ratherthe fondness of a bygone era of not-quite prima donnas and simplicity.
It was put forth that the design should be this simple.
For the eight of you regulars who visit the site (the old six, please make the new two feel welcome), we try to convey that we are football nerds first, kit and crest nerds second. And sometimes, it's the other way around (had anyone here actually HEARD of the Kansas City Comets before they came here?

In the next month SB Nation will be undergoing a dramatic upgrade to our platform and our editorial

The entire network is undergoing changes. Most of these are happening in two parts. The first
will be a set of unified logos. This will help SB Nation become a more unified set of blogs,
portals, regional sites and straight up news.
It does not mean that the old logo was bad. Honestly sum anon did a damn fine job.
It's been an exciting past few months for those of us who write for SB Nation as we've been
keeping quite a big secret under our hats. It shouldn't come as a surprise that our current design
is a bit dated, to say the least, and as of today we can officially unveil that this tired old
design won't be around for too much longer.
It's with great pleasure that I unveil the first step in the next evolution of Dynamo Theory.
We've of course added our new co-managing editor Stephen Eastepp, but there's more coming! SB
Nation is on the verge of something very cool and since we here at DT are part of SB Nation, we're
going to be a part of the coming transition.

This is a small, but important sample of what is coming when our network undergoes its most
exciting and radical transformation in the eight-year history of the company.

Home: 'Hi, welcome to Poland. Make yourself at home. This is where we keep the logos.' It's a
strange one, but it sort of works. They've let the logo overload do the work and kept it quite
simple elsewhere. Away: It fits as the other half to the home kit, but as a standalone shirt [...]
Chelsea have launched their new home kit for next season and they've gone gold. Well, the Blues are
still predominantly blue, but all their logos and trim have seemingly received the Midas touch. The
Adidas logo and stripes, Chelsea logo and Samsung logo are all gold. The goalkeeper's kit, modelled

Major League Soccer and U.S. Soccer's official tequila sponsor is launching a set of

I saw this earlier this morning, some Portland Timbers fans love their team and their corn. Why
not combine the two huh? Workers at the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island have carved the Portland
Timbers logo into their corn field. Not bad at all.
While this video may be a little over the top, I have to give it to Montreal for putting
together a pretty classy looking crest for their MLS team that joins next year.
One thing I really appreciate about this logo is that everything has a meaning and a reason
behind it. Its not just some cheap photoshop logo that we've seen in the past.
Chicago Fire cuts ties with and sues youth soccer league

When plotting these cards out, we opted for a heavy TFC slant (obviously) and because I wanted to
use those mock logos here, we went with at least one player from every team in the league. Some
favouritism was shown for ex-TFC players because to be honest, I don't know crap about Colorado's
players short of Marvell Wynne.

Given the mutual hatred between Liverpool and Manchester United, it was surprising to see
Anfield street vendors selling split scarves on Saturday, bearing the names and logos of both

The game against Portland which will tell much of the tale of the rest of this season is Friday.

Uh huh, you know what it is. The Trotters are back in black for the first time since the Anelka
days. A photo of our away shirt leaked ages ago but this morning, we have got a photo of Gretar
Steinsson wearing the full kit and in my opinion... It's fantastic.
As you can see, the kit is all black save for yellow badges, yellow Reebok logos, a white 188Bet
sponsor logo, and some yellow accents.
With a 1-0 win in Rochester the Fire advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Open Cup tournament
and will now face the New York Red Bulls at Toyota Park on July 12. The Columbus Crew were upset by

by Sporting Kansas City 3-0.
